I bought this carrier for my 16 lb maltipoo after a previous carrier meant to hold a 20 lb dog was entirely too small. This one appears to be a piece of rolling luggage retrofitted with an extension. It is quite roomy and she enjoys riding in it as a back pack. I used some memory foam to add a little comfort to the some what stiff interior seat. The carrier has plenty of ventilation and the top can remain completely open for the comfort of the animal. I plan to use the carrier as a piece of luggage when not using it for my dog. This helps me justify the purchase, which is a little on the expensive side. My only complaint is that it is rather heavy and a bit uncomfortable when used as a back carrier. It will also roll on the ground, but my dog freaks out when I try to use it that way. Over all, I would highly recommend this dog carrier.
I bought this for my mother-in-law to help make it easier for her to take her 2 cats to the vet. She loves it and so do the cats! Rides smooth and is spacious enough for them both.
this carrier pops out to more than double the size, so that when you're in the airport your pets have some space. But it closes back to the size that can fit under the airline seat. It's on wheels and it loks like a standard carry on bag.
I love this bag because it's not too heavy and I've tried several backpack/rolling convertible travelers, and this one actually fits my 18 lb Shitzu comfortably. It's great for taking her for short rides on the subway, and then I wear it as a backpack outside when getting to/from the train, and can have my hands free to walk her. Pros: large opening, lighter than similar bags, saves $$ with public transport. The side pockets can act as storage for doggie supplies, as the mesh opening in front covers the whole area so Twiggy can breath. Great quality for this price range.I didn't expect to like this bag so much because it doesn't look as sleek or high tech as others, but I returned all those heavier, less ventilated bags and this one I've kept!
