    Arrived 6 days after purchase. Assembled in an hour (female in 20s) but it was honestly smooth sailing. Several friends have seen it since last week and have decided they need to get their own. Cats knew exactly where to go, and while they are a bit tentative, they haven't objected to using it. I'm sure it will pass in a few more days. Feels great to have a living room without the kitty litter being the focal point of the room. With the "entrance" facing away from guests, it looks like a simple chest. Very pleased with this and glad I indulged!

    I searched for a long time to find a dark-wood kitty litter cabinet that would fit my ScoopFree Ultra self-cleaning kitty litter. I thought I was settling for this one because what I really wanted was a dark cherry or espresso stain, but when I opened the package I was pleasantly surprised to find the stain much darker than pictured. The cabinet arrived quickly and was packed very well. It was very easy to put together with the enclosed instructions - there are only a couple steps that require two people - and I was able to put it together in an hour or so. My only complaint is that the doors in front don't line up perfectly. They come apart at the bottom by a centimeter or two. I think, however, that I'm the only one who has noticed. Lastly, my cat had no trouble at all getting used to going into the cabinet. All in all, this is a beautiful way to conceal the kitty litter and to control odor and I have recommended it to friends and family who don't have built in spaces in their homes or apartments to conceal the kitty litter.

    If you really need it, get it but: the quality es poor, bad paint, cheap stuff, it is NOT real wood. I received on time but wtihout the hardware and screws!! so I can't assembe now, I have to wait for the manufacturer to send me the hardware. My next step is to show this interesting model to a cabinet maker and I wll get it in real wood, better quality and it will be made with wheels to move it around. I got it here at Overstock almost US$ 40 less than Amzon, exactly the same,

    • The price fit into my budget and I have been looking for one of these for a long time. I have multiple cats so I needed something larger that will fit a good size litter pan in it. I like the way it looks and the fact it has a storage area on the inside. I also read other reviews before making my choice on the product.

    • Unfortunately the top is attached and is not able to be left loose.

    • No, you cannot leave the top loose. It's not difficult, however to clean with the doors. I put a small rug inside to catch stray litter and the rug lets it move closer to me more easily.
