This is a far superior bed than two I had returned to Drs. Foster and Smith. The sleeping area isn't tacky, cheap sheepskin; it's baby-soft and plush. The bolster is sturdy but soft and well-secured to the bed. I got a medium (I have a twenty-one pound Boston Terrier) and it's a perfect size for him. He recently had surgery for IVDD and can no longer sleep with me but he took two naps on his new bed yesterday and slept on it all night. I had purchased a 3" thick orthopedic one previously from another company but he didn't seem to get comfortable on it. The 5" mattress really makes a difference. I am extremely pleased with this product and would highly recommend it to a friend.

We bought this bed for our pit/boxer mix (55 lbs) and she absolutely loves it! I think the boxer in the picture is actually on a large or its a very small boxer. We bought the medium and she just barely fits on it, but the large just seemed to big. Shes very happy with it. This is a true orthopedic bed. Her weight doesn't even dent the memory foam. We have had it over a month now and still no wear. She even goes upstairs by herself to go lay in her new bed, she loves it! If you want an affordable memory foam bed get this one!

I was apprehensive about purchasing such a fancy dog bed, but this thing is great!! My dog loves it! As soon as I put it down she jumped right on it and lay down in approval. The covering is VERY soft; great neutral colors (I ordered the Toffee & Hazelnut). Looks excellent with my furniture. Memory foam core is good quality and just the right firmness. My dog is lounging on her new bed as we speak. I was also worried about the bed being too big for her, but it is just the right size. I ordered the medium bed - She is a 26 pound Sheltie and has just enough room to stretch her feet out and still be supported by the bed. If your dog is any bigger than a medium-sized Sheltie, I would buy the next size up. Overall, even though it was a little expensive for my taste, it is an excellent quality bed and, in my opinion, much nicer than the beds at the local pet stores that can be just as pricey. Best part is the cover can be removed and machine washed! I am very happy and would purchase again.

I have been a dog owner for many years, and this is by far the best pet bed I have ever purchased! The bed has multilayers of materials that provide excellent cushioning and support. My dog loves the bolster, and can curl up against it, or stretch out completely without hanging off. I actually found the Medium to be too small for my 65 lb lab mix - she could not stretch out on it. I use the Large size for both my 97 lb dog and for my 65 lb dog. The multilayers have not compressed even with the weight of the 97 lb dog! The quality exceeds beds on other sites that are 2 or 3 times the price of Overstock's.

My dog loves it. She doesn't spend as much time on the couch as she used to. She uses this bed more than the last one she had. I have not washed the cover yet but the directions say not to dry it because of possible shrinkage. I'm not happy with this because I only allow my dog to chew bones on her bed to prevent staining the carpet. I wash her bed cover often so not being able to dry it is not convenient.

I have an older yellow lab who lost a leg 4 years ago due to cancer. She is doing very well, but is getting older now. Her comfort is important to me, and this bed has far surpassed my expectations. bought this for my dog, but it was too small & i returned it (luckily they let me)...so i can't comment on the extended quality, but i can say it was folded in half an crammed into a box to be shipped and in the couple days before i reshipped it seemed to return mostly to it's shape. the bolster wasn't as nice as i expected from the photo. wasn't attached as well and seemed like it wouldn't keep shape, but i can't say for sure of course. seemed pricey also for what you get...i've already purchased another bed for my dog with what i think is at least comparable quality for less cost.

I had a cheaper but nice bed for my dog which I needed to put folded up quilts underneath it to soften from the hard floor. With this memory foam bed, I do not have to put anything under it to cushion, as it is plenty "padded" from the hard bathroom floor. I feel so good as a pet owner that I have a very comfortable solid bed for my cocker spaniel, Emma (4 yrs.old). Even though it has a zipped cover that can be taken off and cleaned, I do put a bathroom rug on top of where she lays in case of "dribbles".....I am so satisfied with this bed, that I will be getting another for my older cocker spaniel, Gracie. Gracie (14 yrs. old) already has a memory foam bed, but is not as firm...and has no bolster. This is really a terrific bed...made so well....can put directly onto hard floor and still your pet will be laying in comfort.

I have a senior dog (11 year old Pit bull) who has arthritis and other aches. She sleeps so soundly on this bed, we both love it!! I should have got this for her years ago. Very good value for the money too, when you consider spending $40-$70 on regular beds at the pet stores. This one is such good quality and I'm sure will last years. I'd even sleep on it. I only gave it a "Good" rating because I've just had it a couple of months so I don't know the long term wear and tear value.

My dogs have been using these beds for three weeks now. I bought two beds. One for each for my 7 and 11 year old dogs. They are the first new beds they have had and they have adjusted to them very well. I would have given the beds a five star rating except for the rather restrictive washing instructions. The beds cannot be dried in the dryer. The washing instructions state, "Hang dry only." "Cover may shrink if tumbled dried at a warm setting." It seems that any cover made for dog beds, which get washed fairly frequently, should be durable enough not to shrink in the dryer. Otherwise, I am very pleased with this product and with the delivery time.

I have a 72 pound boxer and bought this bed in medium since it showed a boxer on it. I really think the picture is of a large bed as my boxer bearly fits. With that said, she seems to not mind hanging off the bed somewhat - in fact I think she likes it! Fits nice in the room and is of a very good quality. Note that you cannot use a dryer when washing the cover. Must hang to dry.

Couch potato beagle...never thought we'd be able to get him off the couch. Have tried other beds. He would NOT go near them. Had to pick him up and put him in the other beds and he'd come right back out. So, this was our last attempt. I was reluctant because of the price but if you've priced others this is a good deal. Now he goes right to this bed and absolutely loves it. And...we got our couch back! Also, the cover is easy to get off and it washes well. Looks great!

It took a few days for my dog to get use to this bed. She loved her previous bed b/c it was so soft and cuddly . It was time for a new bed. I searched online at different sites and finally decided on this one. I think she likes it now; her last bed was not as firm. I layer 2 soft cuddly blankets on top of the bed for better comfort.

thick cushion as well as a thick bumper so my dog can rest his head. nice cover material. it's a really good bed for older dogs or those with joint problems, but great for any dog. I highly recommend it.
