Not item pictured
I ordered this leash specifically for the metal clasp and the leash sent is not the one pictured. I'm returning this item and trying again to find a leash like the one pictured.

I was very satisfied with this product. My dog doesn't actually need 6 ft of distance between us, but it's a long enough leash that I can loop the clasp through the handle and sort of wear it around my waist when I walk the dog (which still gives her more than enough space for loose leash walking). It seems pretty strong so far. The only thing that may be a bit of a deterrent (at least for some people) is that this specific version of the lead has a different clasp than what is pictured. The clasp on the actual leash has a knob that you pull down vertically to open it, while the image does not at all show that. I also bought the "double" leash for my mom's larger dog, and that one did come with the clasp displayed here.
