The description says this is a slipcover but 3 reviews have said the cover can't be removed. Does the bolster have a zipper so you can remove the foam and is the pillow insert separate so you can also wash it?

I have 2 medium sized dogs and they love it!Read More

It's a very nice dog bed, but it is not 52 inches long. It is about ten inches smaller in length and width than shown. I sent it back because it was too small for our 130 lb. doberman. When I returned it, I said that if they sent me the wrong size, they could replace it with the right one, but they gave me a refund instead, so I believe I was sent the right size. I was very disappointed because extra large dog beds are hard to find without spending a fortune.Read More
I had to replace this bed after about a year of tough treatment because the zipper broke. My greyhound is very hard on this bed - he claws and nests incessantly, but it held up ok until about a week ago when the zipper mechanism flew off. No fault of the quality of the product, just abuse by my dog. My greyhound is happy again now that the replacement came!! Be careful though - this bed is way too big for any washing machine. I need too buy another one because the zippered bed is no longer being made and this one won't last forever either.Read More
We have been using this dog bed for over a month now for our three english mastiffs. The alpha female will stand over it and bark if another dog gets into it first! She weighs over 200 pounds and fits! She likes the bumpers that prop up her very heavy head (which lessens the snoring) and she can snuggle into it for added warmth. It has the Mama Dog Seal of Approval.Read More

Hello ljh0427, thank you for your inquiry! We apologize about the confusion. We were able to confirm that this dog bed does have a removable cover. To help make for easy wash. I hope this helps. Happy shopping!
Its one piece but has 2 zippers to remove the cushion and the side. Wash in machine, with no special treatment. I've had this for almost a year and have washed once a month. Cushions are pieces of memory form and can't be washed. I've replaced my bottom cushion with a folded blanket that I can wash
Best Pet Beds for Your Pet
When you bring a new pet home, you'll want to give him a cozy pet bed to curl up in at the end of the day. Pet beds come in different sizes and shapes for different types and sizes of pets. Most popular for dogs and cats, pet beds give you a good way to keep your furry friend from sleeping on your furniture. It's important to choose pet supplies that meet your pet's needs. The pet bed you choose should provide support, security, and comfort for your dog or cat, so choose one that is right for your pet's sleeping habits and for his breed. The following list of pet bed types can help you find the right bed for you and your pet companion.
How to Choose a Pet Bed for an Older Dog
Pamper your older dog with his own dog bed. Pet beds provide your pets with a safe, comfortable place to sleep and rest, which is especially important for older pets. Most dogs love to curl up on a soft bed -- especially if that bed happens to be yours. Climbing in and out of your high bed, however, can cause your old buddy great pain. Coax him off your bed and reward him for his years of loyalty by choosing a high-quality pet bed that will soothe his tired bones during his golden years.
Best Places in Your Home for a Dog Bed
You want to give your dog the best, and a cozy pet bed can make him feel comfortable and loved in your home. Dogs sleep in their pet beds at night as well as for naps throughout the day. Giving him a comfortable bed to relax in is only part of making him feel at home, however. Finding the right spot for your dog's bed is just as important as finding the right bed to start with. You may even need several pet beds throughout your home. Buy a dog bed for each of these places in your home to maximize your canine's comfort.
Best Dog Beds for Small Dogs
Treating your dog to the best means giving him a cozy place to curl up in at night. If you have a small dog, however, finding the right dog bed isn't always easy. Smaller dogs and puppies may get lost in a bed designed for a larger dog, and may not even sleep on it at all. When you're shopping for pet beds for your little dog, you'll want to consider these tips.
How to Clean a Large Dog Bed
The biggest pups need a comfortable large dog bed to accommodate their size when nap time rolls around. Large dog beds can be cumbersome, however, especially when you need to clean them. Whether you're cleaning off fur and muddy paw prints or deep urine stains, properly cleaning pet beds can keep you and your furry friend happy and healthy.
How to Increase Comfort in a Dog Bed
Your dog may be easy to please, but that doesn't mean she deserves an uncomfortable dog bed. Every pooch should have a cozy dog bed to retreat to when tired. Unfortunately, too many dogs live their lives without a comfortable place to rest. Keep your favorite pets feeling great by giving them a soft, welcoming place to sleep and relax. If you're curious about how you can take the comfort of your dog's pet bed to the next level, try these simple tricks.
