Just so so The cover is not the zip on cover shown. The cover we got with ours has a front faux sherpa cover with elastic straps that wrap around the back on the corners. They do not stay on. Our dog won't lay on it. Hoping once it gets a little chillier outside, he will start laying on it more, but for now, not impressed. If the cover zipped on, would be a lot better. It does get warm when it's plugged in.

Warm but not hot I was concerned about the reviews saying this bed doesn't heat up so I plugged it in right away when I got it. The cat hopped right on it thinking it must be for her. After awhile I checked and it was snuggly warm but not warm enough to be uncomfortable for the animal laying on it. Later, after the cat had moved I checked it again before unplugging it and it didn't seem so warm anymore. I thought it had gone out on me but them I read the manual that came with it and it says that it will mainly be warm when the pet is laying on it. I'm sure the dog will appreciate the warmth when it gets super cold this winter. I'm going to have to get something to pacify the cat now that this is in the dog house outside.

Does not get warm I bought this to go in an Igloo for my indoor/outdoor cat. It just does NOT get warm, and it was very expensive. I'm happy to pay for a good product, but this is just not worth it.
