I had been looking for one of these for my chihuahua when I am walking my larger dog....this was perfect! Great price and does the job and she loves it! It has a great zipper pouch and two side pockets...great for the longer walks to bring water and treats!

This is a very well made carrier. My little Bichon likes to get in it. The only reason I gave 4 stars on safety was it would be more secure if it had places for the legs that could go through if needed, to spread legs out & not have to be bunched up in pouch. This would also be more comfortable for the dog.

I have two dogs - a terrier that can go on forever, and a chihuahua who doesn't like to be left behind. When I take my dogs for a walk, the baby gets tired after about a mile and a half, which isn't enough walking for either my terrier or me. I put the backpack on my back, and run/walk both dogs until Abby is tired, then I put her in the carrier and let her ride the rest of the distance in front. Everyone is happy! She didn't like getting in the carrier when I first tried it at home, but once we were out on the road, and she saw she could quit walking and have a bird's eye view of the rest of our walk, she was sold. I wish the bottom was more padded though.

This was just what I was looking for. Wish it were a little larger and the shoulder straps a little more padded. But for the price and for short trips it is great. My dog is a 13 pound Rat Terrier and she fits in it fine in sitting position, but if she tries to stand she is hanging out the top way too much.

Our little Yorkie really likes to ride in this, in fact, when I get it out, she jumps right in it. It's a sturdy design and is very functional. I highly recommend it.
