I'm not sure whether the past people got an anomaly or what, but this cat tree works great for kittens and cats alike. We have 4 all between 10 and 15lbs that love racing up and down this tree with no problems. So unless your cat is seriously large, it isn't a problem at all. Our largest cat sleeps in the hammock curled up tightly just fine. No bending, no breaking. We've had this unit for 6 months, so the wear on it has been pretty hard. The only thing is that the mice will come off quickly, but that's because our cats play hard with them and tugged them off. Construction, stability, etc. are all fantastic!Read More
The bottom shelf came off pretty quickly, but the cats don't seem to mind. They like it and use it quite a bit. The scratching posts get a ton of use and one of my two cats LOVES the little hammock thing. The toys came off from the pulling, but you can reattach them pretty easily with a staple gun. You can even change the toys out if they pull them down. It's taller than most trees half this one's height for a pretty decent price.Read More
This was really easy to assemble. My cats love this tree. The only thing I would like to have seen is the platform 2nd to the top should have been bigger. There is really not enough space for a larger car to lay comfortably. But all in all it is a great product for the price.Read More
This is a great cat tower. Our cats love it and was a really good deal. Be prepared to spend 1 hour to assemble but after that, you have a great tower.Read More
Easy to assemble. As advertised. Looks great. Kitty loves it! Husband and son didn't curse when putting it together. :-)Read More
Have 2 young kittens using it and they love it. There are enogh hiding spaces so they each have a place of their own. The height is great the taller the better. Lots of posts to sctrach on so they don't use the furniture.Read More
This thing is plenty tall but not very stable. It might be good for kittens or very small cats, but for my heavy adult cats, it wobbles a bit too much :(Read More
I would recommend IF the person had one small cat. It is not particularly sturdy, and the entire fixture wiggles when the cats jump on it. My kittens are 7 months old and have ripped off all three mice, the middle hideaway is extremely unstable, but they love it.Read More
I was so disappointed when this delivered. It was damaged in transit, which made me look closer at the construction in general and it is so cheaply made.. The price is WAY too high for the quality of this item. The round unit was crushed and is literally constructed of thin cardboard that easily bent and ripped in transit. The scratch posts are flimsy, and the entire structure is not stable by itself. We had to actually attach it to the wall so that it would not sway. This is also not safe for kittens. It is hard to tell in the picture, but there is no platform for them to jump into the top hideaway platform, they have to climb to get there. The height is way too dangerous for learning kittens to attempt to climb, and I would not be comfortable with grown cats having to climb to get into it that high as well. They have no way to get back down safely from that platform either. I will never purchase this brand again.I went to a local store and bought one. It was easier to put together, much more stable, and the hardware was a solid connection with metal reinforcements (the Go Pet is literally just a hole in particle board that you tighten a bolt to, which causes the particle board to crack and splinter thus being wobbly). I read many high reviews on this unit before I decided to purchase, and obviously they have changed their product construction since these folks last purchased from Go Pet. Do not waste your money, or take a chance on your pet's safety! We kept this, but took the top platform off and we now have two "halves" that the kittens play on. It is still wobbly, but a safer height for them.Read More
Questions & Answers
Hello rej987, this item is awesome! There are reviews from customer complimenting the sturdiness of this item. Thanks for shopping with us! -Amanda P
Mine is not very sturdy at all. With my big 20lb adult cats it is very wobbly!
I think adding a little extra weight somewhere might make it a little more sturdy. Yeah, it would mean it would be heavier for us humans to put together and move, but my cat runs at this thing full speed and climbs up. I put it in a corner against a wall for her safety and it still moves quite a bit when she climbs. But even with that being said, I'm happy with it over all.
I have 15lb cats (3 of them, plus a kitten) that regularly use this tree, and have had no issues with the construction. It's a great tree for the price, and I'd buy it again. In fact, I might buy another when I move into a larger house.
Does this come in black?
Hi klschiltz, unfortunately we do not have a black version of this item. Thanks for shopping with us.
How to Clean Cat Furniture
Cats love having their own special place to sleep, play, and observe the comings and goings of the people around them. If that place is a cat tree with a high perch, a cozy hole, and a toy or two, so much the better. The distinctive design of cat furniture can make it somewhat difficult to clean. Still, it is important to keep your cat happy and healthy by keeping his cat supplies as clean as possible.

If you're not sure whether to buy one, watch for these cat behaviors to see if your cat could use a cat condo.
