I own a very handsome Black Lab, the only problem is that he does not know he is a dog. All the dog Beds I have purchased over the years have not been big enough for him. That left him things like the sofa,recliners and mostly my bed to sleep on. He is 13 years old and old dogs do not like change! I was leary of spending any more money on a bed for him in his twilight years. Then I figured, what the hey,I could always use if for my grandkids to sleep on. It arrived early and I was very happy with the workmenship and heavy guage of the material. To clean it I just use my small vacumn and Frebreze.It came out like new.My biggest suprize was he just walked over and got right in, hung his head over the side.He gave me a look that said "it is about time you got it right!" Now it is the only place he wants to be when he takes his naps or goes to bed. My husband is so grateful he no longer has to fight with the Dog for his spot in the bed.This is by far the best purchase I have made to date. It made my entire family do a little "Happy Dance"

I have an 75 pound Ridgeback and after reading the reviews that the Large was too small I ordered the XLarge and it was TOO big. He only uses half of it to curl up in. So, order the correct size for your dog.

We were looking for a dog bed for our new 75lb. Greyhound. He absolutely loves this bed. The canvas bottom combined with the cotton plus donut, he absolutely loves. Gives him something to rest his head on while still having enough cushion underneath him. Definitely worth the money!

My very large dog (German Shepherd sized, approx. 85 lbs.) loves it....A St. Bernard could fit in the donut, it's that big. We put it in the back of the car on a trip and he stayed there happily the whole time. If I need another, I'd get just the "large" size, not the extra-large, as there's quite a bit of "extra" room.

He is old and I was afraid he wouldn't use it. He really prefers the furniture usually but it is hard for him to jump now. This is his first dog bed but he took to it quickly and uses it regularly, Nice fabric that doesn't collect hair. Fits anywhere because it doesn't have a solid shape. Perfect.

Received the dog bed in about 2 days. When the box arrived it looked rather small but when i opened the plastic bag that the bed I realized it had been vacuum packed and was surprised how large it was. I have an 80lb German shepherd who didn't wait 10 seconds to jump into the bed and take his afternoon nap. My dog loves his new bed and the bolsters give him a place to rest his head. Great product for the price

It came in a smaller package than I expected, but started expanding with air the moment I got it out of the box, and then the bag. Don't even look at the picture here-- there's no way that image really shows a 52" bed next to a golden retriever. The bed is MUCH bigger. I agonized over size (thanks, other reviewers for your help!), and the Extra Large turned out to be appropriate for my 65-lb greyhound. He's about 4 feet long from nose to rump (30" of back, 9" of neck, 8" of head and nose), and when he lays in it, he can splay out his feet (17" legs) while the edge of the bagel hugs his back, and it looks just like it was made for him. The only thing I wish is that I got a bed with a cover (There's no way this bed will fit in my washer). Not because my dog has accidents, but because he loves rawhides and gets rawhide slobber everywhere-- this is a problem for the navy blue bed!

Fritz is my 110 lb german shepherd and he loves his new Bagel Donut Bed. The quality is excellent. Just pull it out of the box and toss it on the floor. Your dog will love it. I plan to purchase a smaller one for my other dog too.

i have a bernese mountain dog and he never liked dog beds, he mainly took up the hardwood floors..but i decided to try yet another bed and now he sleeps on it everynight he loves it!

My dog loves this. We bought the extra large since he is only a half grown puppy (Bullmastif), but this bed is at least twice as big as him. He likes to sleep in it anyway - and likes to drape his head over the side. I haven't washed it yet (it needs it) and have concerns about it fitting in my washer (it doesn't have a cover so you have to wash the whole thing).

Great bed and my German Shepherd loves it. The only con is that its difficult to wash because it doesn't have a removable cover. I keep a blanket over it to keep it clean longer and then just take it to the king size washer at the laundry mat when needed.

My 85 pound chocolate lab loves this bed! It is plenty big with room to spare!

I have a seven month old Lab who is growing fast. He loves this bed. It is eszy to clean, durable, with plenty of room for him and his toys. I recommend the Extra Large 52-inch Bagel Donut Pet Dog Bed.

great bed. do not agree with reviews saying xlarge is too big. very glad i got it! perfect size for a golden retriever who likes to sleep with legs sprawled. my dog is very picky. this is the first bed he stayed in for more than a few minutes. it came today, and he's been in it for about an hour now! very heavy and durable. feels like a $** bed!

The bed arrived as described however I am very dissatisfied with this product. The bed filler matted down very quickly and is so thin now that it is just like our puppy is sleeiping on the floor. It did not hold its shape and thickness for more than 2-3 days. We have a 5 month old puppy that is 45 lbs and I bought the larger size bed hoping that it would hold up well. I now have to go out and purchase a new dog bed at the pet store, which I should have done originally.

This bed is huge--I bought it for our Doberman and when she is curled up, she takes up less than half the space. Hence my children love snuggling with her too--so the bed is big enough for a Dobie and a 10 year old human. She really loves the bed and nestles up against the sides. I was hoping that the fabric would be thicker/tougher as she tends to chew and rip up beds. I bought this since it is canvas material and not the fuzzy fleece or more "stuffed animal" type fabric that she is prone to destroy. Because of her history of destroying beds, I only let her sleep in it at night or when I can keep an eye on her. It remains off limits (closed off room) during the day. She was alone with it and made a small hole which I patched. It seems like a very comfy bed for her. I bought it in black so it would look "clean" longer, matching her hair. I do have a blanket thrown over it too, to help with not having to wash it often. I have not needed to wash it yet, but will probably have to take it to a laundry mat since I don't think it would fit in my front-loader.

I adopted a large Siberian Husky. A friend who has a large dog recommended your memory foam bed with washable cover and also a donut shaped bed. I ordered both, one for the living area and one for upstairs. The dog loves the memory foam bed. I took the donut bed out of the box and realized that it was too large to go in my washing machine, so I'm sending it back. A bed that big really needs a washable cover, as even it it had fit in the washer, it would have taken forever to dry.

I've seen fluffier beds (after I bought this one) for the same or a lower price. I guess the main thing is that my dog likes it. I have to turn it around once in awhile as the side she rests her chin on will start to flop over. She is an 85 pound mastiff/rottie cross and it is WAY bigger than what she needs. I wish they would show a picture of a big dog in this one instead of (my theory) in a smaller one. I probably would have purchased the 40-inch one if I'd known.

As soon as I pulled the bed out of the box my dog, who is a 75-80 lbs Shepherd Husky, was all over the bed. He lays in it all the time. He is the kind of dog who likes to have his head up on something to the bolsters on this bed are great for that. Sometimes he buries his head in between the bed and the bolster and falls asleep that way. I haven't tried washing it yet but it says you can just throw it in the wash. It would take up my whole front loading washing machine I think. So, my dog loves this bed and I love to lay with my dog on this bed it is so COMFY !!! I suggest this for anyone who is looking for a bed that has real comfort for their dog =)

Although it is very fluffy when first used after about a month it becomes compressed and flattened which doesn't give support to the dog anymore. Also, there is no way to remove the cover so you can wash it.
