This bed has no cushioning, it is basically a velvet paperweight. My dog cannot sit or lay on it.Read More

We have a 40 pound dog, and a 75 pound one, and each of them is making really good use of this bed (sometimes they are picky, but they both actually like this). Even though it's rated for smaller dogs than our big one, it fits and supports him well too, and seems to be holding up to the wear and tear well.Read More
OK - here is the deal: This bed is very cute! But, I am wondering if it is worth the money and am considering returning it. Pros: Cute. Pets took to it immediately. Was sent in a box and there was no Cons: 1) No quality cushioning in the seating area at all - there is only an inch? of sturdy foam in the perimeter of the cushion and then the material smooths over the seating surface with only this brace and little cushioning in 96% of the cushion. For a cat or dog that weights under 15 or even 20 bounds it will probably be ok, as there is light shredded filling (which in NOT even close to being firm) for the cushion. I can put my hand in the middle and it sinks nearly to the bottom of the pet sofa (I can feel the boards underneath). If I can purchase a beautiful firm upholstered ottoman at a nice furniture store for $350 to $400 and compare it to the quality of this pet bed - it is waaay overpriced. But Enchanted Home appears to have no/very little competition so there is really no other choice for pet furniture such as this if you want it. 2) There is no removable cover. This is a big one for me because the cats have hairballs and the dogs get dirty going in and out of the house to potty. The solution? Cover the chair with an old blanket which covers it completely. So, why did I spend $*?????? 3) It is really quite small and the recommended weight limit is suspicious. My 45 lb standard poodle did jump up on it and tried to lay on it but man did she look uncomfortably squeezed in a circle on it - she did not stay on it for very long as she was sinking in the middle. 4) it sits an inch of the ground at the most - it really is a glorified pet cushion. I am considering taking a chance on returning it and paying the difference for the Cameron because it has a removable cover (I had thought this was did too but it doesn't). I am just struggling with paying nearly $*** for it knowing that the cushion will be under filled with the shredded material. UGH. I would say if you have a small dog or if you have cats and if money is not an issue for you - you should consider getting this one as long as you don't mind not being able to wash the cushion - it is cute!Read More
