MY DOGS WOULD NOT GO NEAR IT! I GAVE BOTH TO FRIENDS WITH CATS AND THEY HAVE THE HAPPIEST CATS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. EXCELLENT QUALITY!!!!!!!Read More
We ordered two, and they are very nice. We have Papillons, and they go in and snooze. The pad is just a pad. I would only recommend spot cleaning. We placed a small pet bed inside and that works well. The color is a dark espresso brown. Sturdy enough for sitting, but not for a heavy person. At any time, there is at least one dog sleeping on top and another inside. It was a good purchase, and I am happy with the pet bed/ottoman. I do get to prop feet on it occasionally when the pets get into my lap.Read More
My cats love these. They take their naps in them. As far as people sitting on them, it would be OK for occasional use, but not strong enough for daily use. Good for a serving tray or to be used full time as an ottoman. So they are actually dual purpose as a cat bed and piece of furniture and look so much better than regular cat beds. These match our brown leather recliner too!Read More
My dog Sweet Tea hates it. I think I is very nice. It matches our leather furniture well. It is strong enough to sit on. My dog is a spoiled brat. It is well constructed. My sister said she is going to take it for her dog. The top is flat enough to place a glass or cup on.Read More
The ottoman pet bed is so cool. Looks great with our new couches and no one knows it is a pet bed.Read More
Questions & Answers
Hello belinda125, unfortunately this item is out of stock. We currently do not have inventory to check, and cannot guarantee the item will be restocked. However, since it is a pet bed, the pad should be washable. Thank you for shopping with us.
The pad is just a pad. I would only spot clean it. We placed a pet bed over top of the pad.
Can you sit on the bench?
Hello fhipsher, there has not been a weight test on this item, but our sources say it is built well and you should be able to sit on it. Thank you for checking with us.
Yes, but I would not sit on it myself, since I am 300, however if you have normal sized friends or family, it is fine but not as a daily use chair.
A child or smaller adult can sit on the ottoman. Use common sense. It is listed as a pet bed, not chair.
Does the top come off of this pet house? Also, does it come with a pad?
Hello mertie1949, Yes, it has a lift off top and the pad does comes with this item. Thank you for your questions.
Best Pet Beds for Your Pet
When you bring a new pet home, you'll want to give him a cozy pet bed to curl up in at the end of the day. Pet beds come in different sizes and shapes for different types and sizes of pets. Most popular for dogs and cats, pet beds give you a good way to keep your furry friend from sleeping on your furniture. It's important to choose pet supplies that meet your pet's needs. The pet bed you choose should provide support, security, and comfort for your dog or cat, so choose one that is right for your pet's sleeping habits and for his breed. The following list of pet bed types can help you find the right bed for you and your pet companion.
How to Choose a Pet Bed
Did you know that cats sleep an average of 16 hours a day and dogs are close behind! This makes choosing the right pet bed for your furry friend extremely important. With all those hours of cat (or dog) naps, you'll want them to be as comfortable as possible. Different animals have different needs, and no pet bed is a one-size-fits-all design. Here is how to find the right one for Fluffy or Fido.
How to Keep Pet Beds Fresh
They may be cute, but your furry friends can get pretty dirty and smelly without the proper care, and so can the beds they sleep in. Your pets spend a considerable amount of time snoozing away every day, and their beds take the toll. Learn how to deodorize, clean, and help prevent odor in pet beds with these easy tips. After all, a healthy pet is a happy pet.
How to Choose a Pet Bed for an Older Dog
Pamper your older dog with his own dog bed. Pet beds provide your pets with a safe, comfortable place to sleep and rest, which is especially important for older pets. Most dogs love to curl up on a soft bed -- especially if that bed happens to be yours. Climbing in and out of your high bed, however, can cause your old buddy great pain. Coax him off your bed and reward him for his years of loyalty by choosing a high-quality pet bed that will soothe his tired bones during his golden years.
Best Places in Your Home for a Dog Bed
You want to give your dog the best, and a cozy pet bed can make him feel comfortable and loved in your home. Dogs sleep in their pet beds at night as well as for naps throughout the day. Giving him a comfortable bed to relax in is only part of making him feel at home, however. Finding the right spot for your dog's bed is just as important as finding the right bed to start with. You may even need several pet beds throughout your home. Buy a dog bed for each of these places in your home to maximize your canine's comfort.
Top 5 Tips on Choosing a Pet Bed
Dogs, cats, and other small pets often enjoy the cozy softness of a warm bed, just as humans do. Pet beds are designed with a variety of needs, habits, and preferences in mind. From orthopedic foam cushions to elegant replicas of human furniture, pet beds can be both practical and stylish additions to your home. Keeping these tips in mind while you shop can help you choose the best bed for your pet.
How to Increase Comfort in a Dog Bed
Your dog may be easy to please, but that doesn't mean she deserves an uncomfortable dog bed. Every pooch should have a cozy dog bed to retreat to when tired. Unfortunately, too many dogs live their lives without a comfortable place to rest. Keep your favorite pets feeling great by giving them a soft, welcoming place to sleep and relax. If you're curious about how you can take the comfort of your dog's pet bed to the next level, try these simple tricks. Best Dog Beds for Small Dogs
Treating your dog to the best means giving him a cozy place to curl up in at night. If you have a small dog, however, finding the right dog bed isn't always easy. Smaller dogs and puppies may get lost in a bed designed for a larger dog, and may not even sleep on it at all. When you're shopping for pet beds for your little dog, you'll want to consider these tips.
How To Make a Dog Bed
Do you want to give your pet something fun to nap on? Then this is the project for you. The vintage fabrics used in this pet bed prove that your dog doesn't have to be dull. Once you have the right fabric, scissors and tools, the ease of this construction allows for this project to be finished in only one afternoon.
Top 5 Places to Put Cat Beds
Cats sleep twice as much as humans, and kittens sleep even more. Luckily, cat beds are a great option for cat owners who want to help their kitty get the best rest possible. Like humans, cats need plenty of rest, and disrupted or lack of sleep can be detrimental to your cat's health. Finding the right place to put those pet beds is important. It can be hard to get a cat to curl up in her new kitty bed, but these tips can help you find just the right place for your kitty to sleep.

How to Introduce Your Pet to a Pet Kennel
Introducing your dog to a kennel or crate can be tricky because some pets do not want to be confined to a small space. Dogs usually acclimate to the den-like environment quickly, but you'll need to start out by showing her that it's a safe environment in order to help her learn to like it. With patience and time, your pet will enjoy, or at least tolerate, periods of time in a kennel. Crates and kennels, if used properly, can provide a place that your dog feels is her own space while also protecting your home from your pet.
How to Clean Foam Mattresses
Foam mattresses can range in design from luxurious and thick memory foam beds to roughly-cut slabs of camping foam. Even some pet beds are made with foam.
