My husband put this together in less than an hour with no problems and no missing parts, etc. Looks really nice and while we probably will add extra stain for weatherproofing - it has a great color and everything is fully functional. We have 4 easter egger chicks (6 weeks old) that have plenty of room and will likely add a run to it as they get a little bigger. love all the doors and ways to separate spaces or close off sections. Great value - my husband normally would build things like this but for the $ felt it was best to buyRead More
Perfect for two chickens, more would be very tight, added the extension and then a small fenced in area, went together easy, well made, get many compliments.Read More
Overall great value. There were a few minimally damaged pieces that required a little repair work, but nothing terrible. Went together pretty easy...but could have had better instructions. Good coop for the money and looks great.Read More
We love this product and our chickens do too !!! I did a lot of searching on the internet as well as going to different pet and feed stores. This is our first attempt at raising chickens. The chickens seem very comfortable in it (we have 3 chickens) It is roomy enough and when we let them out to free range they will happily return to it !! The product came with all the parts and instructions. We are ordering the attachable run to add to it !!! It is great that this option is available. The prices are great, much better than anywhere we looked.Read More
It's just too small for chickens maybe 2 at most of smaller breed.Read More
It's made of soft Chinese fir wood that I worried about setting on dirt. I made a frame to put it on. Assembly was not hard. It's very nice looking and the chicks are happy in it. I have 3 standard size and they seem to fit fine. When full grown they might be tight on days they have to be shut in. With access to the run though I think it's fine for them. It's small. Only 3'X5' from end to end. Only 4 square feet inside, not counting the nesting area.Read More
The whole experience regarding this coop was horrible. We received the coop, which comes in two boxes, and they both looked like they had been dropped and dragged behind the delivery truck. However, they were still delivered by the UPS. Once opened, the pieces of the coop were shoddily glued together, some pieces were cracked and broken, and some weren't even initially prepped well by the people in China who assembled them for shipping. The drill holes on the pieces were stripped so that when you try to put screws in, they can't even fasten the pieces due to the drill holes being ruined. An additional kicker, is that we complained to Overstock, asked for our money back, they refused, and sent us a replacement coop! We received the second one, and it's in the same condition as the first. We've requested a refund AGAIN. Do not buy this coop!Read More
Chickens seem to be happy in coop and lots of space for two. The only feature I would add is if I remove the tray, so they can have a high ceiling, there would be one piece of wood to block the space created. The chicks seem to enjoy flying up to the bar if the tray is removed. Also they don't seem to go up to the '2nd' level if the tray is in place. Could be because they are only 7 weeks old.. Also, it's very hard to catch them if I want to let them out if they are underneath the coop, in the fenced in part. As far as building the coop, the hardest part is putting the roof together as there seems to be little spaces there and I'm concerned about freezing winter winds. The coop looks pretty and provides shelter and hopefully I'll be collecting some eggs soon!Read More
