Hard to put together and seems more flimsy for the price

Very easy to assemble. Easy to use, my 2 year old operates the gate door. Keeps the dogs out of the rooms you want to keep them out of. Very nice looking and fit well into the door jam. We like the product very much.

This was bought to keep the dog out of the kitchen, away from the cat food, kittly litter, and kitchen counters. Since our dog chews EVERYTHING, it was important not to have a wooden gate because she would chew through it in an instant! She can gnaw on this gate all she wants and she doesn't get anywhere. We thought it would be nice to be able to leave the cat door open for the cats to use whenever they want and because the latch is difficult to pull out but our 45 pound mutt can actually maneuver herself through that little door! It's quite a site to see! We love it and we might be ordering another one for our sons' room so they can open their door and not worry about the dog going in their room and eating their toys, socks, and other prized possessions!

• Please tell us about the quality of the product. Good quality although it is very difficult to pull the latch for the kitty door so we just open the gate for the cats to go through.

I like the gate, but it doesn't seem to be able to extend to a double door entry. Not sure if we did something wrong but we ended up using it in front of the master bedroom door. The dogs pile up at the door when they are ready to go outside and make it known they are waiting. To avoid having my door get dirty I placed this in the alcove leading to our door and its perfect. They are happy because they are close we are happy because I don't hear them pressing at the door at 5am in the morning.

This gate is easy to put up. We opted not to anchor it to the wall, and just tighten it, and it stands firm without bending or anything. It's easy to put up and take down, and easy to walk thru. It keeps our dogs where we want them.

This was a nice heavy gate but didn't fit my opening and didn't seem to have any means of exapnsion or no expansion pieces were sold on this site. Would work great if your opening isn't too large. I have a smaller version and would recommend this gate.

I have to send the gate back because I measured wrong and it's too short. The quality is good for the price. I wouldn't have paid more for the item. It isn't extremely sturdy, but great for just keeping pets out that won't jump at the gate. Big dogs that jump would destroy this gate in short order. Overall it's worth the low price.

Great gate. I have a entrance to my kitchen that was wide. I needed a gate to keep 4 Chihuahua's in the kitchen and not in the formal living room. The gate fit the space great. There was one thing i had to do. Having the small dogs they could slip through the end rungs! I put a fine mesh across the bottom to keep the small ones in. You also have to make sure it is evenly tightened on each end. If you don't, it will want to fall. I did not want holes in my wall so, I loved that it was portable. If you don't have it tightened and balanced you will have trouble using the people door. The door is also very easy to use if it is installed correctly.

Awesome gate. 6 dachshunds are kept from the doorway. Now someone can come in without fear of being taken down by a bunch of tiny weenies. Gate is very sturdy and I will enjoy for years to come. The gate is high so it would work very well for larger dogs as well. Great price

I bought this gate to keep my dog in a restricted area. It was for my extra-wide doorway and it fit nice and snug. However, my dog was able to jump over it. If you have a determined pooch like mine, I would suggest a taller gate.

This gate is well suited for a small dog (40 lbs or less) or very young children. the extend panels fit securly but could pose a problem to come apart if a very large dog or child comes in contact with it. i have 3 small dogs and this works perfectly in the large opening of my foyer to allow me inside the house with packages and not be greeted by the excitement of my pets. LOVE THE GATE! WORTH the money and it was 50.00 less here than the pet outlets! GOTTA LOVE OVERSTOCK!

Walk through space was small. My problem was that with the small space and bottom frame of the gate, I was afraid my friends or I might trip. If that is not a problem for you, the gate is fine.

This is a metal gate and I use it across a open large area of the master bathroom, approximately 8 feet. It is sturdy and works well for the 3 Yorkies that need to be contained during the day.

we've had this item in use in our home for over a week now. we have 2 mini doxies and a lhasa apso and it has so far done its job by keeping our animals out of the area we blocked off. they've pushed themselves against trying to stick their heads between the bars and the gate has withstood the weight and force. the gate is wide enough to walk through for myself and the rest of my family. being plain white does not make it an eyesore in our home... it blends right in.

I purchased this to go across my wide kitchen to livingroom doorway for our new puppy. It is exactly what I thought it would be based on the description and picture. The directions were a little difficult. For really small dogs you have to be careful with them slipping through the sides. Our puppy has grown enough that he can't fit through any more, however the cat door is so huge it will be a long time before we will be able to leave that open. Its big enough that a 20lb dog can fit through it. Other than that its great for what we need it for and has held up nicely to a few "run-ins" from our doberman and is high enough that there has been no attempts to jump over like she does to the normal babygates.
