Great Buy
This gate easily fit our room's opening of 55" with almost an inch to spare on each side. The dogs have an easy view of whats going on through the bars of the gate. This has to be one of the best purchases we have made in a very long time. It solved several problems for us relating to our dogs. There were minor glitches installing it but nothing that could be overcome relatively easily. The template they provide for securing the latches to the walls are off for the gate side attachment. You have to work with the measurement some but once you have it in place, this works exactly as advertised. Dont know why the one reviewer said the gates werent wide enough. Absolutely isnt true. The screw-in adjustment make for a custom fit. Very happy with both that we bought.

Sturdy gate
Using this gate to keep our 2 five month old pups secured in the kitchen. I needed an extension piece because the gate wasn't wide enough...the sales person on "live chat" gave me the link to the company who sells the extension (Overstock doesn't), so I could order it from them. I think that's great customer service that they understood my needs & even though they couldn't provide the product, they happily directed me to the company that could. So I ended up with the gate from Overstock & the extension piece from another company. Have purchased many items from Overstock & it always is a positive experience.

if you have a housefull of dogs this is the gate for you!!! no more pressure gates getting knocked down low enough to step over by average height person which prevents the crazy door shuffle and the verticle bars make it impossible to climb

Excellent gate
This gate is perfect for someone who is trying to keep dogs out or in - also for kids. I set it up in 20 minutes - the directions were very clear. Our dogs have been able to make the transition with ease, and the ease of getting from one room to another is amazing with the gate!

Didn't work for me... I return it.
The two end has to be solid wall to work. Unfortunately it didn't work with one side being a fence. Beware of return shipping, its not free if it doesn't work.

Sturdy gate, works great!
I bought this gate to keep my Golden retriever puppy from wandering the house. The doorway is 53" wide so we needed one that was wide enough and still sturdy. It is working out well so far. The gate and latch are very nice and quiet. The vertical metal bars discourage jumping up. We did have issues when we installed it though. It is drilled into the wall and the bracket is too large to go on the baseboard so we needed to drill it in above it which makes the base of the gate 3" off the ground so you have to step up and over it. Also, one of the big sizing screws was stripped, which was a hassle.

This doggie gate was better than expected
We tried to make our own doggie barrier and ending up spending more than this one. Penny wise and pound foolish. It is just what we needed. It fits perfectly, easy to use and the dog can't climb over or push it over. Very satisfied

Worth every penny
When I purchased this product, i actually bought it for my two dogs because they love to snuggle and love comforters. Little did I know that once it arrived I would be completely in LOVE with it! The color match was exact which was great because my master bedroom has the same neutral colors. It is super soft and the stitching is nearly invisible. I bought some very inexpensive 'Jersey knight' fitted and flat sheets to go with and it keeps nice and warm at night. Im so in love with it that im buying this same brand for my kids rooms! Highly recommend it :)
