We have two 9lb cats that both love this bed. It is the perfect height for them to curl up in and feel secure inside. We often find one cat upside down with all four paws up in the air - so content. The bed does accommodate both 9lb cats but it is a tight squeeze but oh so adorable! The bed is light and does not take up much real estate. It can easily be tossed into the washer and dryer. Nice construction and easy to clean. I would definitely recommend.
