Steps are a little wobbly just sitting there, but I use them in my bedroom, and place the top step against the side bed rail, it is more stable. I also have carpet in my bedroom, I imagine if you had hardwood floors it would slip. My pug Harry was reluctant at first to use the steps, now he has no problems, after he figured he could get in the bed by using the steps. Now he hits the steps at a dead run and is able to leap into the bed without problems. Initially I was concerned about the steps not being sturdy enough, but I do love the feature I can fold the step and slide it under the bed if I need to.
it could use a better designe to keep legs from folding while dog is climbing. we put screws in it and she loves it now.

This slides around if you have hard floors so you will need a rug otherwise its useless. Seems like kind of a steep price for a plastic step stool even though it was the least expensive one I found. The dogs are terrified of it so I use it in the closet now to reach the top shelves.

This item is unstable and cheaply made. It is unlikely your dog will use it for fear of it collapsing. Wobbly. Doesn't reach near enough to bed height to be useful.

The last steps I had were so flimsy that the dog ruined them within a few days and I had actually duct taped them together so she could still use them. These steps are very sturdy; they lock in place so they don't collapse on her. They have some type of material on the actual steps to prevent slipping. I can't pick her up and she wants to be up with the other dog so this is a perfect solution. I should add that she weighs about 25 lb. The larger dog has never attempted to use them so maybe a larger dog might have issues with them; I can't say.

We love this stair-it locks into place for safety, and folds easily under the bed when we don't need it.

My Carin Terrier(25 lbs) is now 10 and has trouble jumping up on the bed so, I thought these steps would be perfect. Ozzy is scared to death of it and wont go near it. Still trying to get him to use it, and I'm hoping he'll get used to seeing and use it out of necessity. I wish there was some rubber stops on the feet to stop the steps fthe sliding on the wood floor. Movement, I think is what spooks him.

I have a few step sets for my small dogs. Thought this one would be good for it's size, weight, n compactness. However, the steps just weren't quite right for my small aging poodle. She was ok going up. But didn't do well coming down. Tho I was not totally pleased with the product, I must say I was VERY pleased with the service of Overstock.com. This was my first purchase with them. I would strongly recommend their service to anyone. I had ordered other items from 2 other sources the very same day. OVERSTOCK arrived days ahead of both others! THANK YOU OS!

Like I said the steps are very well made and solid but the support at the back is week and wobbly. My dog is always running and the back co-laps I will have to make a support to reinforce it. I think that the support is very important and should be made solid too. But anyhow it is the best that I found for the price.

I have looked at doggie steps for awhile now and just did not want to pay the outrageous prices they ask for them. The price was right on these and I was very pleased to see they were high quality and work great. My 10 year old maltese loves them and it only took a couple of treats to get her to begin using them all the time now.

If your looking for a great price way to get your small dogs and cats up on the bed or couch this is for you, I have no problems with this when used on carpet or a rug, it was a 1st grade school project to assemble and looks as nice as some expensive step stools. however this is for your small pet not for you to change light bulbs, common sense is not so common I guess, come on guys its dropped off at your front door for 20 bucks....

I purchase this for my puppy to be able to get up on the bed without tearing up my bedspread. He is now 72lbs and not even a year old yet, and does not really need for the bed however for the truck and the car, it's still in use. He's a big guy so not so easy jumping up. My grandbabies even used it to get up on the bed. Yes, my bed is a little high off the ground, but this little step stool works great. It's light. It folds.

Fantastic product for the money. I bought it for my elderly cat to make his transition from floor to bed-top a little easier. He loves it and so do I!!!

It took about a week for my dog to get used to it, as the only thing I could find wrong is that the sponge stuff that had to be applied to the stairs makes noise when her nails touch it so she was leary of it but took about 10 days and now she is going up and down. I recommend that some type of a smooth indoor/outdoor carpeting could be used instead. I'm planning on redoing the steps.

I have a 25lb scottie who is a sissy...That being said.,.he reluctanly comes up the steps..they shake a tade and he gets on the bed with the stairs clacking behind him. Very un-nerving for him. If he was 20lbs or less, I think this would be a better product for him.

I have an elderly dog, he would not be able to use these stairs...where does it say the recommended weight of the dog....except when you receive the box.
My dog is only 14 pounds, so I thought this would work. Unfortunately, I did not realise the turnbuckle pegs could be locked, so the steps fell over when the dog first tried them. I figured out the turnbuckle, and tried to show the dog it was safe, but he is reluctant to try it again. All in all, a bit too flimsy.
I love that these steps fold up and are so portable. My American Eskimo is getting pretty old, and she has a hard time getting into the car for walks, these steps have helped her so much. She's a medium sized dog, so I could see how a large dog could not use these steps, but as they mention....this is great for small and elderly dogs!
