80-inch Bungalow Tree Condo for Cats

Both my cats (10 Lbs+) fit on this tree at once. The younger cat spent 10 minutes killing the dangling mouse that comes attached to the second platform and then promptly took a nap in the house. The top levels are a little wobbly, but they can be hand tightened down pretty easily and the wobble didn't seem to bother either of my cats. The floor space it takes up (about a 2 foot square) is very minimal compared to most furniture, especially a cat tree that's 7 feet tall! All-in-all a great buy, especially at the price. I would expect 2 to 3 times more cost at a big box pet store for this product. I do with the carpet had a little more padding, but my cats don't seem to mind. As a bonus, I assembled this on my lunch break from work. The box was well organized and I had the whole thing up in about a half hour.

We ordered the Bungalow model, which comes with "faux sheepksin" (fleece). The first delivery arrived in a very large box labeled "Bungalow," but inside was the "Casita" model - covered in "faux fur." I'm sure some people want the fur, but we wanted fleece. Overstock handled the replacement immediately and the correct model arrived a week later. When we went to assemble, one of the three long posts on the top was missing. Turns out we and our 2 cats are happy with just two "turrets," so not a problem. But we paid for and expected the three. This seems like a manufacturer problem - wrong product in a box marked as Bungalow, then correct product, but missing one pole. If it had been one of the shorter poles that goes on a lower level, we would not have been able to assemble the tree. ALSO: one of the included screws was poorly threaded and a quick trip to the hardware store was needed to get a replacement. I read in some reviews that the instructions were minimal (true). We found that it was essential to begin assembly as instructed - from the top down. Laying the tree on its side was the key to doing this successfully, which we did. It's been up for a week - and so far seems to have solved some "vertical territory" issues our cats were having. Now that the one who needed the height can look down on the rest of us, she's stopped acting out around the house in other ways. Well worth the money and mild frustration re: what was in (or not in) the carton from manufacturer. To repeat: Overstock.com was fantastic. We shipped the 70-pound fur-covered tree back at no cost.

Just a fantastic find. Went looking for a cat tree first at all the local pet megastores. Everything was overpriced, not nearly as tall, and covered in carpet that looked like it was stripped from a 1972 Winnebago. Turned to Overstock and found this gem, thank god. It's sturdy, easy to put together, not outlandish, and, better yet, as tall as an NBA guard. And the price? Crazy-low.

We have 4 indoor cats, their quality of life improved w/ this purchase. Easy to put together, easier to clean than carpet (it's fake fur). Since there is no carpet, they focus the scratching on the sisal rope, this should keep the scratcher from getting torn to shreds like my others.
