This same item sold for $350 at our local pet shop. It is completely stable and sturdy. My cats are having a ball with this cat tree. It is the nicest thing I have purchased from Overstock!! Very well made! Took about 10 minutes to put it together with very clear instructions.

I did a lot of research before selecting this cat condo. Made the right decission. Positives: -Easy to build -Sturdy - Does not sound like it will tip over when my 3 cats are playing on it/ -Cat bed in middle fits my 13+ pound Main Coon Mix (even though she fits in there with no room to spare - its her favorite spot -My grey cat is very long and hates using traddiotnal scratching posts since they are to short for him. - The cat condo scratching posts are perfect for him, even on his longest scratch. -I love the way it feels - soft fluffy and not carpet like (Not fond of cat condos made of carpet - I feel it adds to cats scratching and playing on other carpet throughout the apartment/house). Negatives -They do not use the hamack. I'm guessing this is because they are cats not kittens. -I wish there would be another hiding spot like the middle area. All 3 of my cats like that area the best. All in all I'm happy I got the nice cat condo for them. The price was worth it. Especially when you think of what 1 scratching post goes for. My husband and I held off on buying "cat furniture" for quite a long time because of the expense and space required. With bigger incomes and a bigger home, we finally splurged for our little kitty...but we think we waited too long because she won't use it! We figure she just doesn't know what to do with it. We've sprinkled it with catnip and tried putting her into the little house, but she just won't use it. It's very nice-looking...it would have looked nicer if the carpet were to cover the undersides of the boards, but it's not a big deal. The front panels of the house came broken, but they are covered with carpet and are decorative (the supportive walls of the house are fine), so also not a big deal (minor nuisances for the savings). Unlike one of the other reviews, our pawprint perch does indeed have the brown print, which is super-cute. It was easy to put together, and there were no special tools needed (it helps if you have experience with the type of assembly instructions that have line drawings only). It did have a chemical smell when I opened it, so I assembled it outside. You can't beat Overstock's shipping, particularly for something so large and heavy! We are hoping it will get some good use when we get another kitten since our five-year-old is set in her ways.

Very easy to put together. Both my cats fight for the top & 3rd story residence floors. They love the hanging rope & play mouse. Wish I had come across this years ago as spent much $$$ on condo's that they used for a week then ever touched again. Great price, easy to put together & both my kitties LOVE IT!!!!!!

My cat enjoys having a place to hang out away from the kids to relax and eat. The landing are a little small for my cat who is slightly overweight so it makes it hard for him to get up sometimes, but I put his food bowl on top of the house so he has to work for it. So if you have a large cat or overweight cat, you my not want this product. The hammock is a waste, took it off, now he plays with the rope at least and lays on the bottom landing. All in all for the price this is the best cat condo.

We have two cats who have been using this condo for over a year. The condo is well built and our cats love it

This cat tree condo went together easily and quickly. I only had kitty help and it took me about 2 hours to complete. Could have done it in 90 minutes without the kitty help but that would not have been as much fun. You cat lovers know what I mean. I was a little worried about overall height, as this is in the sun room with a sloping ceiling. Because I put it together myself, I just switched to two tree perches and it all works wonderfully. My cat was immediately inspecting all of the elements of her new tree. There is a "glue" odor that my cat is not excited about but I put a little fabric deodorizer on it and we are back in business. A little spray Kat Nip and she is in heaven. Merry Christmas to my cat!

She loves being perched in the highest nest and scratches on the posts constantly...doesn't use the hammock (too wobbly) but overall I think it makes her feel like a queen, if she didn't already...

I just have finished putting this piece of cat furniture together. My cats love it. It was easy to assemble. I would recomend this to everyone.

Our cat loves it. He sleeps on it all the time. He doesn't seem to like the top level, he prefers the second highest platform. We got this to help keep him off of the new couch we are planning to get. I hope it works. The mice only lasted a day or two. Assembly was pretty easy, no tools were required.

Wow.. my cats loved their new condo. If I could only add a picture to show. It was as if they were waiting for it but didn't know it. They are happy lazy customers!

My husband and I bought this cat tree as a Christmas present to one another because we knew we'd get as much joy out of it as our cats do. They love it and we love watching them play on it. We've had it a few weeks now and they either play or sleep on it all the time. The bottom half of the tree doesn't get used much. Not sure they'll ever lay in the hammock. Once in a while they play with the hanging rope, but the love to lay in the bed, on the foot shaped platform, and on top of and in the house. They love swatting the dangling white mouse. They play on it together all the time and often chase each other through the house and different levels. It looks really nice and is covered in sheep skin with rope, that they love to scratch on, wrapping all of the poles. It's definitely a hit in our household and I would absolutely recommend it. It's our first cat tree, but we looked high and low to find the right one and couldn't be happier with our choice.

The important thing is that my cats love it! Not as interested in the hammock, but love the hiding place and love the high places. On it every day!

I am SO pleased with my cat tree, but not nearly as much as my cat. She has found it to be an excellent jungle gym, and while she doesn't use the hammock at the bottom (she's too big), it's become a good place to store her other toys. It's very sturdy, and the sisal rope has held up admirably under enthusiastic scratching. One of the toy dangling mice was missing upon arrival, but I hung one of her own mice up instead and she doesn't know the difference. As a product, I am very pleased with it. However, buyers beware the instructions: they make NO sense! Rather than a traditional instruction manual, with written instructions and clear illustrations, these instructions consisted entirely of crude line drawings that looked like a fourth grade art project. What should have been a fifteen minute assembly for me and my friend ended up taking the better part of an hour because we kept realizing we had used the wrong pieces, or the wrong fasteners, or had something on the wrong angle. The instructions gave us very little. On the whole, I would buy this product again, but please--update those instructions!

The 'KIDS" love their new play house. The mouse, however, did not survive. All that's left is the black shell and the attachment cord. The instructions were not very good either - only pictures, no words and the parts were not labled...It took two of us about 2 hours to get it together.

My wife and I purchased this cat tree about a year ago now. It has been one of the best pieces of pet furniture we've purchased. The price you pay for this is dirt cheap. Our cats played on it since they were kittens and now are fully grown adults and they still love it. Great quality. Both cats combined weigh around 30 lbs now and both run and climb it and the tree is solid, no wobbling. Odor disappears over time (noticeably in 2 days. completely gone in 2 weeks). The highest platform is perhaps the nicest with all its padding. Assembly and Disassembly is a breeze making it easy to transport while moving. A little to big and bulky to slide it from one room to another however. Make sure you assemble it in an area you want it to be in. Kitties love it. While this is a solid purchase there were a few quirks we discovered over time. -Hanging mice (pretty high quality i'll add) were torn off after about 5 months (longer than i thought). Really tough to replace. -The sisal rope needs to be tightened slightly. -The paw platform's lining began to come off because the cats would play on it ( you can easily re-glue it though, no biggie). -The bottom hammock is rarely used. We use it to house all of their toys. They'll occasionally hop over it or hide under it. This causes the little hooks to come off and therefore knocking the hammock off. Just use pliers to shut hooks closed to avoid that. -The rope hanging down is completely useless. Unless you tie or attach something to it. Cats do not use it at all. -Lastly, its completely covered in cat hair now. So don't put it in a highly public area of your home. A good brushing should be all it needs to keep it clean. Best it rubs off on the tree than on your couches/bed. You could probably honestly buy this item, use it for a bit and resell it on craigslist and still make a profit or at least break even.

Positive: Nice and tall, my cat loves it. If you have researched prices this is a great tree for the price. The poles are lined with twine and while they are a bit harsh on the hands putting it together, they're great for scratching. Negative: The bottom of the paw print bed and the top bed are not covered. Since the tree is so tall you see the brown bottoms which are a bit of an eye sore. The faux sheep skin is not the best quality and very thin, I lined the inside of the box and bed to make it a little more padded. Overall great purchase, I recommend it. Not going to last more than 2-3 years but that's fine for the price.
