73-inch Casita Cat Furniture Tree Condo

Of all the cat towers I have researched, this one was one of the better ones out there for the dollar. My cats adore it, starting to climb all over it while putting it together. The instructions are not great but not difficult to decipher from the diagrams. My only compliant is the two ladders have to be forced into the sockets to fit. The faux fur isn't lovely but the cats really like the texture and love climbing all over it.

This is my first kitty condo and I couldn't be happier. I have two "teenage" kittens who are live wires. It took a day or two for them to try it out, but now they play and play on it. The hammock and the "tube" are big hits for nap time. I really like the fleece fabric. Other condos that I 've seen had faux fur that took me back to 1965!! The condo is very sturdy. Even when my boys reach maturity, I doubt that there will be any danger of it tipping over or parts coming off. The instructions left ALOT to be desired, but I was able to complete assembly in about an hour by myself. The pictures of the screws/bolts on the parts list do not look anything like the actual parts and the sizes are not at all representative. I sorted them out by how many of each I was supposed to have. The directions don't tell you what screw goes where, but once I figured out that the screws will only fit into the holes that they're supposed to go into (each is a slightly different diameter) the rest was easy. The diagram was actully helpful, but again, left alot to be desired. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product and would recommend it highly.

I've been wanting to get a tree/condo for my cats for a long time. The selection at the stores is usually very limited and what they have is quite pricey so I began to look online. I wanted my girls to have something of their own that they could scratch and climb on instead of scratching furniture and jumping on top of the fridge...You know what I mean. I decided on this one because it was nice and tall but relatively compact which allows me to put it in a corner near the window without blocking the entire window or sticking way out where you'd be likely to trip over it. I agree with everyone who said the instructions are AWFUL. They aren't impossible to follow but they certainly aren't easy. Once you straighten out what's what and which part goes where the actual assembly isn't terrible. The reason I give 4 stars rather than 5 is that while I had all of the pieces one of my bolts was defective so we were unable to properly install one of the posts (the one with the hammock). I'm sure we can figure something out but meanwhile I joke with my husband that our cat tree is "custom". Both cats love it and after assembly it seems very sturdy so hopefully they will be able to enjoy it for a long time. As an aside, ordering from Overstock was absolutely fabulous. Shipping was about $3.00 and I received the package in about 2-3 days. Everywhere else I looked either the item would be relatively inexpensive and the shipping was outrageous (50-80 dollars sometimes!) or the item was very expensive and the shipping was reasonable.

This is a perfect tree for my kitties. They love it. The only problem I had was there was a bolt missing. Fortunately I was able to find a similar one at the hardware store rather than have to wait. Suggest to add an extra bolt for each side in case one gets lost or for extra ones later.
