This is a nice large soft-crate, perfect for travel and staying in hotel/motor-inns with dogs that are not prone to roughness. No soft-crate is good for a pup that chews or a dog that will claw the soft materials. Our dogs are good in their crate behavior, and these will do just fine for shows/travel/a place that is close to owners as needed for an injury or...? The pad can be used as a base for something else as it will not hold up very long. It is fine for immediate use.

We travel with our standard and toy poodles and have been very happy with the quick and easy set up. We like how flat it is for storage. There is plenty of room for both dogs and helps contain them if we are going somewhere with out them. We can leave them in their crate in the hotel room. It is not sturdy enough for everyday use, but has been great for traveling.

We LOVE this crate! Bought it so we can take our retired Greyhound to friends/family and he'd have a place to escape to. He loves it and it's very easy to set up and break down. Takes up a good bit of space, but so does he. There's no way we could take his XL wire crate with us anywhere. This XL travel crate is a great alternative! So happy we found it on Overstock for such a good price.

Can't tell how this is going to hold up since we haven't actually used it on the road, but it's room with enough head room for my dog's bed (4" thick) and have her still be able to stand up without crouching. The crate is also more stable with her four inch thick bed. We'll see how crate holds up; I'm optimistic it'll be fine. Olive is a 62 pound German Shorthaired Pointer.

This is a nice crate, light weight and easy to set up. As another reviewer said, it is really big and the height makes it a little flimsy, not as tight as you midht want. But is you want a big soft crate this one will do.

Thin and light enough to carry easily. Setup was a snap. Unfortunately, my puppy tore through the mesh area within 15 minutes and bent the frame at the same time. It's now unusable. Although a great idea and the perfect size (the largest I could find), it was basically a very expensive toy...well, toys actually last longer. *sigh* If your dog does nothing but lay there while put into a crate, this might work great for you.

We are extremely happy with our purchase. This dog crate has plenty of room for our yellow lab. He weighs 70 pounds and we could probably fit two of him in there. It is very durable. Our dog loves it. He immediately went inside it as soon as we put it up. Easy to transport also, much much easier than our old metal crate.

Works well for hotel, and home. WIll by a second in the near future.

This is a great product, glad I found it. Good price also here on Overstock. This will be very handy when my golden retriever needs confinement away from home, much much easier to travel than her crate. As the other reviewer said, this crate is for dogs already crate trained, as a large untrained dog could easily knock it over. But it is easy to assemble, and very cool. Excited to use it. Folds down to nothing at all and easy to carry in it's included case.

Item was purchased for training purposes for a 6 month old shepherd puppy. Item was convenient to carry due to its size and container however, was not sturdy and the framing is now bent and doers not stand level.

This is great for anyone who needs a temporary home for pets. Easy store, sheepskin floor is wash and wear. Just wash, dry, and zip to floor base. Lots of room for food dishes, toys, and small kennel for a nice enclosed room. Plenty of room to play, easy to set up and store for travel. Does not take much space when in storage case. Outside is easy clean also. The sides give easy control of light and privacy. This is a must have for everyone who travels, quality allows for a long life. A small padlock will protect pets from opening to strangers.

I did not try to put it back into the carrying case..... too much trouble. They could just have a strap that goes around it after it is folded. Most of these were priced at over $125..... so the Overstock price was extremely good.

easy to set up and take down without pinching fingers . My last crate had plastic hinges that easily broke, and I hated setting it up and down. My one concern for this crate is, is the frame tough enough to last a long time.

This portable crate is wonderful! The construction is very good quality, looks excellent in our office where we keep it and is so easy to set up/take down. The color in the description says brown but it's actually a burnt orange color which is beautiful. I would strongly recommend this crate as a portable home away from home for your older puppy or dog. Our puppy is only 2 months old and he is still chewing on everything so we put him in it for naps (when he's already fallen asleep) or to play with his stuffed animals. It is not intended to stand up to baby puppy teeth but has done so beautifully so far.

Good quality, but I didn't realize how massive this thing is...beware...it is HUGE!!!

I LOVE this crate. It's huuuuge and amazing -- especially for the price. I've seen this same crate advertised for $150+! My puppy loves it, too. I even fit inside it -- so we have slumber parties sometimes! :D It's spacious and allowed my pup to see the world around her and play quietly by herself while she was on bed rest for a muscle sprain for over a week. **PLEASE crate-train your dog before using this -- it probably won't hold up to scratching/chewing.

At first, I loved this product: lightweight, easy to set up, nice looking, comfy... until my puppy started to chew the zipper. She damaged the zipper track and that was the end of it -- the crate is now useless because I can't get the door closed without the zipper. I tried alternative solutions like sewing in buttons, attaching velcro, etc. without any luck (puppy busted through). My only option is to have the zipper replaced -- awkward, difficult and expensive. This is a great crate for a dog who has outrgrown the chewing phase. Otherwise, watch your puppy like a hawk (keep the door zipped shut at all times when not in use) or go for a metal crate instead.

The crate is easy to setup and has a handy carrying case. I would not use it for a dog that tries to escape their crate as it is not sturdy enough to survive chewing or intense scratching. Our dog is very calm when in her crate, so it worked great for her. It was an excellent "home away from home".
