I am a bit disappointed in this cage. I had to install a wire floor for the droppings since the pan that it comes with makes cleaning very difficult. You have to remove the rabbits in order to clean it. Also, the product arrived damaged (no fault of company, but rather delivery). I chose to just fix it instead of shipping it back. I wish Overstock made returns and refunds easier. One should not have to "fix" a "new" product before they are able to use it. The wood arrived splintered in spots and the lock was broken. I had to use wood glue and drill new holes to make it work. Overall, I am not thrilled with this purchase, but I got a good deal on it and will just upgrade later. For now, it does the job. I would not recommend this product.

We bought this as a home for our Pygmy hedgehog inside and it's perfect. We put additional screening along the front since she is tiny. I would hesitate to put a rabbit in this, however, unless you plan on letting it out frequently. It's very dark inside which I'm sure the animals appreciate, especially my nocturnal hedgehog. Good quality for the price

For the price this is a great hutch. It was easy to set up and easy to clean. There is no grate on the bottom for the droppings to fall into. Someone said they modified it to put a grate in but I am not sure how you would do that as there isn't much to mount it to so you would proabably have to do a floating one over the tray so that you are able to dump it easily. I just put bedding in there and change it out. I am using it outdoors and it is getting -15 and seems to be doing the job.

Perfect for our rabbit. More than enough room. The bottom tray is a little shallow so the hay tends to fall out. Relatively easy to put together. Works well for us!

Overall, this is a good product at this price. However, the wood is not that robust. It's kinda soft and thin,light weighted. If you plan to use it several years or longer, I do not recommend it. I added several joint connectors made in metal on it, so, it feels not that loose. *** dollar, plan to use 2 years at most. Not test it's waterproof functions yet, looks cannot prevent mold. Made a cover for it, hope can last long.

Assembly of this unit is very easy, and the design is quite good. That's where the quality ends, however. This hutch is designed for indoor use only, and would not last very long in an outdoor setting. Flooring of the unit is only plastic tray, so the bunny would constantly be standing in its own feces and urine, and would then track that all over the house. I had to alter the floor to put in a grate.
