I have gone through 3 'office' grade pencil sharpeners before this one, each time spending at least $20. This is the one I should have started with. Sharpens super fast and a nice point. Easy to empty, doesn't make a mess.

After my other electric pencil sharpener lasted only 4 months, I read reviews and purchased this one. It works wonderfully - fast and perfect points. It gives such great points I told my high school student, "No jousting." They have been using it for a couple of months now and most thank me every time they use it!

Dull pencils are the bane of my household, but my last electric pencil sharpener overheated and expired after one particularly rigorous round of sharpening. The Hunt HD has thoroughly impressed me with its powerful motor and razor-sharp blades. The sharpener works its magic in seconds and pencils emerge with a long, finely honed point. You can tell that it's sharpened when the sound of the motor changes and the resistance lightens. Although the sharpener has an auto-off feature to prevent overheating, I've yet to need this as it has easily sharpened my whole backlog of dull pencils. The capacity is more than sufficient for our busy pencil-breaking home. The suction-cup feet hold it securely in place on my countertop, ready for action, and the discard container for pencil shavings has plenty of capacity and is easy to access when you do need to empty the contents. You wouldn't think that sharp pencils could make such a difference, but now I'm almost happy to find a dull lead , so that I can I can use this smooth-operating sharpener.

I hate buying a time saving device and having it suck and not save much time at all. This product was the solution to my kids (and therefore, by extension, my), problem of having 100+ pencils in various states of functionality and usability. Our old pencil sharpener which we purchased at the *** sucked. It took forever to sharpen a pencil and it required a time commitment to go thru the stack of broken off tips. This sharpener is great. It is fast, powerful and puts the point on the lead, rather than on the joining area where the lead meets the wood. This sharpener is more $$ than I would have liked to spend, but was worth it since I got a time saving device which actually does what it is suppose to do. If you are on the fence, Buy It.

I purchased one of these heavy duty sharpeners last year for my art classroom. It still works and held up very well through heavy use. I ordered two more this year since I knew that I could trust the quality. I would definately recommend this product for classroom or office use. It's a good thing!

Using it in a classroom with Jr high students. So far it is holding up and they have not succeeded in destroying it. Very fast sharpening.
