This adjustable and moveable laptop stand with cherry wood finish is an excellent way to be able to perform work on a laptop at home without having to be tied to a desk. Lightweight and convenient this table can be used for crafts, work, or play....more
This stand is VERY sturdy and is very straightforward to assemble. The directions are extremely clear and some of the best-written I've seen. In particular, the parts have individual peel-off numbers on them to identify which goes where, and even the various screws come in labeled plastic bags, one for each type of screw. Assembly took me less than 30 minutes; they even provided needed tools (an allen wrench and a small wrench to hold the bolts). I am NOT exactly Ms. Fixit, so if I can do it in that time, I'd think most people would be able to do the same.
The base of the stand is fairly high, maybe 4 or 5 inches, so if your furniture doesn't have that kind of clearance (as a lot of sofas don't), this won't slide under it. That said, the tilt feature is both sturdy and strong. It holds solidly at an angle and works really well. It is also extremely attractive and looks nice in a living room setting.
This works best if you're sitting in a chair with somewhat raised legs rather than the type of chair shown in the photo of the item. The base simply is too high to slide under the average club chair or sofa unless it has legs that lift it fairly high off the floor.
Also note that the LOWEST height setting is almost 30" which is high if you're in a low sofa or chair. On the other hand, the tilt feature, which works really well, drops the keyboard of a laptop to just about the right height.
Frankly, I think this is a great product, well constructed and sturdy as well as attractive. The only caveat I have is that if you want to use it with a sofa or low chair like a club chair or recliner, the base probably won't fit under that piece of furniture.
We love this desk and the price! Best deal on the Net. And when you buy with an extra discount weekend and/or with the Club O, it's even sweeter. Assembly wasn't the easiest, but that could have been that we didn't follow the directions exactly. And I do mean exactly. Yet we took it a part, and fixed it. Overall rating is a 5 star. Buy this!
I found the assembly easy and fast. The solid wood and metal parts were all labeled and in seperate bags. The instructions were easy to understand and follow.
The finished product is very nice: It looks expernsive, is solid to the feel, rolls easily and the two seperate tops don't slip once tightened into position. I am pleased with the product--it is as represented on the website.

I love this item. Very easy to put together which is a plus for me I can usually not comprehend what to do when faced with the challenge of putting something together. Directions were easy the quality is excellent looks exactly like advertised I was concerned about the wood color it was perfect I would recommend this to anyone!
Very unhappy with this purchase. Once put together the top isn't straight from side to side. The front is supposed to slant downward not to the side. My laptop sits at a slight angle to the side. The piece to hold laptop in place is great but the side piece where I place my mouse is very uncomfortable to rest my arm on.

This stand is so perfect in all areas. Love the adjustable height, ability to have the side table on either side, being able to adjust the position of the main table, easy to move around and just looks good.
Easy to assemble, but very wobbly! Not enough support when base is attached to the t-bar, and yes, all screws are tightened. I do digitizing of embroidery patterns and am at computer for long periods of time and it is very intricate work. Even though I knew the lowest it would go, the length of the legs makes it very difficult to fit into the places I use it and I have about six choices, none of which are very convenient to use this.
Far too difficult to pack up to return, so trying to deal with it. I looked for several months and was really looking forward to a computer desk with wheels that had a low profile instead of one that looked like it belonged in an office or warehouse.
I do like the work space it has, but because of it being so unstable, not a lot of paperwork, writing, or a drink can be used on the side desk section.
I bought this for my husband to use for his laptop while he watches TV. Works great. Little side table perfect for a drink and the remote. Space limited where we have it so it can also be used as an end table
This is perfect. It was very easy to assemble and is a great buy for the money.
We have desktops on our downstairs home office desks, and a laptop on a nice desk in our bedroom.
I did not want another desk. I needed something that moved easily around in the living/dining/family rooms of our main living space.
It can also be used in our guest room and fits nicely in any of our closets when not in use.
Are you able to adjust the angle of the work surfaces so they become vertical? Does it fold in any way to minimize space for storage?emmerz05 on Mar 12, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Hello emmerz05, thank you for your inquiry! While the desk itself is able to adjust to a vertical position. The T-bar stand at the bottom does not fold, however the steel bars do separate by loosening the center knob, and can easily be stored away. I hope this helps. I see some different answers to(here and in the reviews) exactly how much clearance there is on the wheel assembly. One answer seemed to say it was 3". I need to slide it under a bed on carpet with 5" of space. Can anyone confirm if it will make it? Thank youallpeppers on Feb 7, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question

Yes the casters lock. Please let me know if you have any further question.overstockcustomercare1 on Feb 11, 2013
What is the length of the horizontal bar (the shorter one, that would roll under a piece of furniture) from the vertical base to the caster?tamararez on Jan 18, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
The short is 9 ½ and the long is 14 ½. Assembled the caster need three inches of clearance between furniture and the floor in order to fit under the furniture. If the area is carpeted this will be more since the future will compress the pad and carpet more than the desk will.
