This is a very nice fountain pen. Writing is so smooth, the pen almost writes itself. Fine Point is hard to find, and the Green Marble finish has apparently been discontinued, but I found the lucky combination of both on overstock.com , and at a price that, including shipping, is easily half the MSRP for this pen. The pen comes with a Waterman converter, so you can use bottled inks if you prefer (otherwise, it takes European cartridges, one or two of which is included). All in all a very good buy and one I'm happy to have made.

This is a great pen for the price. I use it everyday at work. It is the right size and weight. And the ink cartrige lasts a long time. I would recommend this pen for anyone who wants a great fountain pen without the high price tag.

This is my second Phileas and it's equally good as the first. It's a fantastic writer, though the nib is a bit stiff which may not suit some people's tastes. It lays down a nice, but not overly wet line. The fine may be a little more broad than most pens. The feel and balance are excellent and the look is cool. This is a great value and an excellent choice for a newbie.
