I got this because my laptop gets very hot on my lap. This was best thing I saw that would work for me. I use it with my laptop once I got out of the box.. It is very convinent and it does not allow your lap to get hot from the laptop. I can even use my mouse on the side of it with no trouble. Get one you will like too.

i bought 4 of these as christmas presents. they are great to keep your legs cool. the mouse can be used on the left or right side - great for the lefties in our family. they are compact and yet can be used for desktop also.we think they are great

very compact and thin... not what I needed or wanted... I returned mine.. someone who travels would probably get much better use from it.

It was just a flimsy piece of plastic - that folded. I was very disappointed and returned it immediately. It was easy to replace for half the cost and twice the durability the old fashion way - at a local store.

Set up unit and used. Worked as advertised. Nothing special. Keeps laptop off lap reducing heat to legs. I suppose that is the best attribute

The concept is good and the weight is amazingly light. But the actual product is not at all what I expected.

Excellent laptop desk. I love how it folds in half. Great for sitting in recliner. It is adjustable for slant. keeps the heat off your lap an has a good slant for viewing laptop screen. Also when fully open sides rest on arms of recliner. Has good airflow. My laptop used to burn my legs from the heat an was very arkward. Not anymore. Recommend for anyone with arthritis..helps keep you comfortable in any position you need to sit in. I'm very pleased that i bought this item. Sturdy , holds laptop in place. Also good for ready etc when folded in half. I love it !!

This product is good for smaller laptops, the section for the mouse is good. Didn't keep the laptop cool, still could feel the heat when it was used flat on legs. Maybe better if the description states this is not a true laptop cooler as there are no fans. Was disappointed, especially as the price was more than some comparable products on the market that has fans. Returned.

I have an older Macbook Pro that runs pretty hot when I have my design apps running. I really liked this item initially but I recently I noticed black streaks on the bottom of my silver laptop. The non-slip pads on this stand were starting to melt from the heat of the laptop and leaving black stains on the bottom of my laptop. If you have a laptop with a black colored bottom you probably won't notice the streaks. If you have a light colored laptop, then you should not purchase this product.

This is a great, light little laptop stand that can be converted either to a tray for your lap, or an ergonomic laptop riser. As a riser, it may be used with an external keyboard or you can continue to use the laptop's keyboard with the screen at a better height. Because of its weight, it can sometimes feel a bit fragile, and probably would break if strained too hard (particularly when getting in and out of position when it's placed on your lap), and it does wobble a bit when you're typing on it as a riser. But altogether, great for the price and spot on for lightness and portability.

I was actually surfing for some Christmas gifts when I came across this desk just now. Before I fully read the description I looked at the photo with the laptop sitting on the desk in the OPEN position. I saw the price and thought, wow, I need one because it has a mouse tray which I need for when I'm working in bed. I can never find a "sturdy" object to use as a mouse area. I had to laugh at myself because I realize I already OWN this item (bought it at an office supply store about three years ago) and have been using it DAILY since I bought it. LOL, but I'VE BEEN USING IT THE WRONG WAY! I actually got it so I could leave my laptop on the bed and prevent overheating. I never realized the other great features it has!! Especially the mouse tray area! After reading the description and then really looking at the photos of the desk in both "flat open" and "desk stand" positions I realize I've been only using it CLOSED most of the time, and rarely as a desktop stand (which I am now doing as I type this review.) It does do EVERYTHING and more as described. A bit shaky for typing but not so badly that it bothers me, and my 5lb, 15" laptop stays securely on the desk in the highest position. It has rubber grips all over it which holds the laptop in place even at the highest position. Next time I fly, i'll be using the desk in the open style to take advantage of the mouse tray. Those drop down tables on the plane don't offer any extra space for a mouse when using a larger laptop. And tonight, i'll be using the mouse pad tray in bed for the FIRST TIME! LOL Can't believe I never figured that out. Great product!

I like the item very much--love that it has room for mouse and it is light weight. However, I havea few health issues and some padding on the bottom of the item would be most helpful. I''ve had to buy a pad to go under the item to make it more comfortable when sitting on the couch with my laptop in my lap. Overall, I give the item a really good recommendation.

I love this, it is super portable and I plan on buying two more for Christmas gifts. The great thing is that it folds up easily and fits in my laptop case to bring with me when I travel.

For the price I suspected more than flimsy plastic. The laptop in the picture must be a net book as even though I read the measurements it was still much smaller than I thought. The surface is very bumpy and not in a good way to hold the laptop in place. I fear my laptop will easily slide off.

I bought this product after reading all the 5 star reviews. I give it 3 at best. When in the folded position, it's very shaky. I'm typing on it right now and my laptop screen is bouncing all over the place---I might as well be in my husband's jeep on a dirt road. When unfolded, it seems worthless, holding the laptop less than an inch above the desk. I'm not impressed and would not recommend it. I had better luck and more stability when I was propping the laptop up on drink coasters.

I work on the field and the laptop feels hot on my lap. This product needs no assembly, it's very lite and convenient. I never leave home without it.

The product was not what I thought would be. Only modest angles can be achieved. I was hoping to use it as a base for a tablet but it certainly does not work for that purpose. No positive stops to keep computer from sliding downward and off the frame.

This desk was shipped promptly, and it is perfect for any laptop from small to large. Very versatile, as it can be used in several configurations. Also very convenient because it folds up flat to fit right into your laptop carrying case. It Does exactly what it says and more!! I purchased one for one of my daughters and now have to go back and order three more for the rest of her sibs. Very Nice!
