As other reviews mentioned, you have to pull the blade across at least once for each page, I make books that are about 20 pages, so it takes about 8 - 10 pulls, but it goes fast and finishes beautifully.

This trimmer is a nice size for small home-type applications. It is easy to use, once you get used to the locking features. I am very satisfied with the value.

Excellent item! Love it - saves a lot of time cutting paper.

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that I didn't realize that you don't just replace the blade. You actually replace the blade assembly which is more expensive then just replacing a blade. Plus, it prevents you from using other manufacturers blades. But the cutter itself is great.
