    • A gem

Fountain pens can sell for exorbitant money, so when I saw this one, knowing that Sensa pens are normally twice as expensive, I figured I couldn't go wrong. I have rarely invested so little in so much. The pen writes exceptionally smoothly, and even though it's a tad on the heavy side, it is well balanced, and with the conforming gel at the holding end one doesn't feel the writing at all. Normally I take a break after one page written with any ball-point pen; with the Sensa Meridian, I can effortlessly do half a dozen pages. Anybody with wrist problems such as carpal tunnel syndrome should seriously consider purchasing it. A friend of mine - a connoisseur of fountain pens - immediately bought himself one and is reveling in it, and I myself bought another two.

    • Comfortable and Smooth

I write with a fountain pen to help with tendinitis. I was looking for a wide body pen and this one fits well. It writes smoothly and is comfortable to hold. With the cap on the end, it's a little heavy and unbalanced for me so I leave it off when I am writing. So far so good.

    • Disappointing

I really wanted to enjoy this pen because of the great price, but it has been a complete disappointment in that it skips and sticks and hangs. The nip is rock hard, which might be part of the problem, and the pen does not do well on any surface upon which I've tried to write and has become more frustrating to use than it is worth. Off it goes into a drawer. Bummer.

    • Work Horse of a Pen

I bought three of these pens: fine point black, medium point black, medium point silver.First about the pens weight and appearance. The weight is comfortable, very well balanced and the area where you grab the pen (from the silver divider to the nib) has a comfortable gel like surface - preventing slippage for all models. You also receive both a small box of cartridges along with an ink well converter, which was a nice bonus. The fine point can skip from time to time - but for those using a fountain pen for the first time - it might be the best way to go since writing wise it is closest to a roller ball pen.The medium point I personally prefer because it smoothes the handwriting out a bit, however you have to adjust your writing to allow for the additional ink.I purchased the blank fine point pen and wound up giving it to my 11yr old son - who loves it and uses it in school. The black medium point pen I purchased for myself and use at work. When I thought I might have lost my black one - I was distraught enough to by a replacement one in the silver color. Fortunately I found my black one - but enjoy these pens so much I decided to keep the silver one as well.None of them have ever leaked and they only stopped writing when strangely enough I had run out of ink. There is no window to see the level of the ink in the pen unless you unscrew it.Overall this is a great value for a fountain pen without having to spend a few hundred dollars or settling for a "school grade" pen. It is certainly just as good as the Waterman I bought a few years ago - if not better since that one tended to leak. However compared to a Pelikan or the such - you can tell that it is not quite the same caliber but then you also spent about $400 less.
