I have purchased these envelopes in other sizes and been happy. Unfortunately, the 12 inches in length includes the fold over flap, so these are smaller than expected. The measurements should really be 7.5 X 11. This is misleading.

This is a great buy. I can even cut and tape along the seams and fashion a larger mailer to ship bigger items without feeling that my packaging has become too expensive. Typically I use paper padded envelopes, but these plastic mailers seem more sturdy and less easy to tear. With the paper ones, I was worried the flap wouldn't stick and I would tape over them, but with these, the adhesive seems very secure (although I do still use tape out of habit). I only wish that the larger sizes were as much of a bargain as these smaller ones. I will definitely buy more. They are the least expensive bubble mailers I've found yet. I wouldn't ship anything breakable in these mailers, but they are great for books, booklets, cards, and other paper items.
