Shipping carton was very ripped and had been crushed, but luckily the product inside was OK. Please use cartons made of more sturdy material that will withstand lots of pressure and rubbing during transport and protect the product inside. Luckily the table came through almost unscratched, although one of the underside frame members was rubbed hard while being crushed in shipping. Now that the table is assembled you can't see the finish that was rubbed off.

It was disappointing to receive something other than what I ordered. BUT, not Overstock's fault as the box was sealed and marked "Medium Oak". What I have is the Cherry table and it was an obvious return (or floor model somewhere) as dowels/metric screws were missing and one dowel was even broken off in the disassembled table piece. In disassembling the table, the wood was broken off in 2 places- but not visible from when turned over. This being said, the table is great with nice lines and finish. Very sturdy. We chose to keep the table rather than do the hassel to return it after a trip to Lowes for the correct metric-sized screws and more dowels. It's not medium oak- which I would prefer- but the cherry is nice. I would say that Overstock needs more QA in their merchanidise, but like I said the box was mislabeled and sealed. It may have been bulk purchased that way. Don't know what happened.
