I work at a company that tends to have slightly higher-than-normal desks. I'm of average height, so once I've adjusted my seat for the keyboard, I need something under my feet. The company provided a standard footrest -- that was both too low to the ground, and flimsy -- it broke in no time at all. I then tried looking for myself. Pretty much, more of the same. I finally contented myself with putting my feet up on my nearby objects. This was the footrest I had been waiting for. It's incredibly sturdy (I think it would take the incredible hulk to break it), and it's adjustable up to a very high level. In fact, if you only need a standard, low-level foot rest, I wouldn't recommend this unless you like to curl up a bit while working; its lowest level setting is higher than any other footrest I've tried. It has a gritty surface on the footrest, so your feet don't slip around. On the highest setting, I bet this would work on bar stools (haven't tried it, though). Assembly took about 60 seconds, and changing the height adjustment would take about 2. Highly recommended for anyone needing a taller-than-average footrest.
