Safco SitStar Tractor Seat Stool

I was looking for an adjustable height stool whose footrest height adjusted separately. This is perfect. The seat is comfortable (wider than I need it, but no problem.) I can work for hours siting like this.

I needed a stool that sat 30" high so I could see over the tall counter where I work. It needed to be sturdy and durable because I share my workspace with others. It arrived in 7 days in excellent condition. I was surprised to find it is extremely heavy weight and durable. Assembly was a bit confusing. You must be very careful with the hydraulic stem upon which the seat sits. The only downfall with the stool is that the foot rest ring drops everyday even though I adjust it and tighten it. However, every other stool / chair I have used with an adjustable foot rest has had the same design flaw ....it slowly creeps down the shaft. You'd think the engineers would be able to perfect the design. That's why I gave it four stars instead of five. I got the red seat to provide a bit of fun in the workspace. The seat is very comfortable for my wide derriere, and I was pleased to find that it's not a hard plastic but rather a soft rubbery type instead. I'm glad I got this particular stool and so are my co-workers! This is expensive but it is a durable, fun and great investment. I'd highly recommend it.
