As others have reviewed it sustained damage in shipping. There is NO packaging to speak of to protect the bookcase from bumps and dings and it had a couple. A spot of wood stain will hide them well enough. It wasn't worth the hassle of repacking and shipping but sure would have like an undamaged case. We just moved and I used to have the larger one beside my bed. In the new house the big one was too big. This size is much better. We have Scandinavian designed furniture and this was a really good match. Went together in a few minutes with little difficulty. That said I am good and assembling such things. So for someone not good with diagrams and hand tools it may be a bit challenging?

Nice Shelves
The shelves are a nice addidtion to my dining room. They were easy to put together and are nice and sturdy.
