Overall very good.
Overall very good in-wall safe. Good quality and value and not too difficult to install. Everything came neatly in a box with all hardware included. The only thing that could be better is the instructions that were very limited. The safe comes locked and without the "preselected" code to open it. Therefore, you need to use the key the first time to get it opened. To do so, you need to completely remove the face plate, but the screw is hidden behind a sticker (not shown in the instructions). It took me quite awhile to figure this out. Now that my code has been put in, It works great and hopefully I will not need to use the key for awhile.

Easy Install, but ...
The safe arrived quickly and well packed. As another review stated, the electronic unlock code did not work. You have to remove a face plate sticker to get to a hidden screw to remove the plastic keypad face plate in order to get to the key slot to be able to get inside the safe to reset the code. The locking mechanism does take up a good bit of room inside the safe. On the safe I received, the locking mechanism is attached to the door with four screws. It appears I received a second as two of the four screws were stripped and do not hold tightly. I did not find this out until after the safe was installed and it was just too much work to remove the safe and send it back to overstock. Before you install the safe, check it over good, both inside and outside. The door to the safe is spring loaded, so you can not leave the safe closed and unlocked as the spring will force the door open.

Great wall safe
Great safe -- no need to take up floor space for this one. Somewhat limited in size (the locking mechanism takes up interior storage room). Very easy to use digital key pad. Installation was a bit complicated since our home's wall studs were not spaced properly.

GREAT SAFE!
Just what I needed for the bedroom. Very easy and quick to open. Moderate work to install. Middle shelf does not have room for items, it holds the locking mechanism from the door. I finally have peace of mind when leaving the house! Excellent Overall!

Wall Safe Review
when the product showed up there were a few scratches on the door and chips on the face plate but weren't a huge concern for me. The safe wouldn't be in plane sight. Extremely heavy and solid. Great quality design. My only issue I guess is that the round 1/4 turn knob to open the door and shut it seems a bit flimsy. It works well enough....just hoping it stands up over time. READ the directions about installation and setting your pin code FIRST before installation.

quick shipment. not yet installed but the product looks substantial and I see no reason why there would be an issue with it. installation seems pretty straightforward. have looked around at wall safes for a while now... this one seems to have the quality at a much lower price point! didn't give it an "Excellent" rating because I've not yet had it installed.

Decent for price
Very decent safe for the price. Well constructed and easy to install. The keypad does stick out about 3/4 of an inch from the front face, so it would be hard to hide with a picture or mirror. Could use a lighted keypad and light inside, besides that the items has worked out very well. Middle shelf is completely taken up with lockign mechanism. Great safe for a bedroom closet to keep jewerly, passports, handgun, and other small items safe and secure.

Wall safe Installation tips
I am very happy with this product and wanted to clarify the issue with the screws. There is nothing wrong with them so long as you use a larger phillips head bit in your drill...the standard size will strip them. Another option is to pre-drill the holes but I prefer the tightest fit possible with a safe. The shipping package could have been a bit bulkier but fortuately there was no damage. The whole install took an hour tops...remember: measure twice and cut once! Another tip: If you are installing on an exterior wall (as I did), use a light weather stipper (or duct tape) along the lip to prevent draft. If the keypad had a back light it would have been perfect, so I used double sided tape and an LED booklight to make up for this needed deficit.
