This is a good little shredder for personal use. The mouth is not wide enough to put a whole flat sheet of paper..you have to fold it but this is no problem if you don't have tons of material to shred. For a single person wanting to dispose safely of certain pieces of mail it is perfect. Doesn't take up much room either, so good for an apartment dweller.

In order to shred paper, you have to FOLD THE PAPER IN HALF so it will fit in the shredder! So, it takes twice (2x) the time to shred your personal paperwork. Also, you can get about 7 minutes of shredding done before the darned thing overheats and shuts down. Also, the "auto function" rarely works - the darned thing stays on unless I unplug it!!! Another poor product sold by "o.com" I won't be buying from them any time soon again. BUYER BEWARE (you get what you pay for)!

• How accurate was the sizing? not accurate at all - the shredder will not take normal 8.5 x 11 sheets WITHOUT having TO FOLD THEM IN HALF!!!

This performs perfectly to protect identity theft by dicing the critical information from statements etc. when put through. I no longer worry about "dumpster divers".

After about 20 papers it will cause the paper to gointo the housing of the bladesand jamit up. I had to take it apart just to fix it.

The unit was smaller than I thought it would be but it does the trick.

I bought this to get rid of junk mail. It's a perfect size and the pencil sharpener & letter opener are a bonus! Unfortunately the little (safety) bracket that is necessary to get it to shred was unattached. I rigged it with twist ties to get it to work and it worked well but the bracket keeps falling off. I used live chat and they did not have any more in stock so they gave me a refund and I will return it

Great shredder, it is smaller than I thought and you have to fold regular sized paper into thirds to shred.

This is the second Royal shredder I've purchased. The first one was for my summer home and I liked it so much I wanted it in my winter home a well. It is very easy to operate and perfect for home use. Easily disposes of all the unwanted checks and applications for credit cards you receive in the mail. Because of its small size it fits in anywhere and is good looking. It holds a lot of shredding and the pencil sharpner is handy too. It is easy to empty. The shredder was delivered quickly.

It was a lot smaller then it looked.This was my fault as i should have checked the size closer.When i go to shred something i have to jiggle the top to get it started.This is a problem with it.Ordering and paying for it was easy and the delivery was very fast.

I knew this was a smaller sized shredder, but didn't realize it would be so so tiny. The shredder is ok for shredding junk mail but little else. It can really only handle one or two folded sheets at a time. I also wish the cross cut created smaller pieces. Overall I am happy with it though.

I am very happy with this shredder. Not only does it shred,it also is able to sharpen pencils and open envelopes. There is a pencil sharpener and a place to open your letters on the top of the machine. The size is small and this is great if you do not have a lot of storage. The value is good and the delivery was quick.

I like the royal ht35l cross cut shredder. It is just the right size for my small apartment. I like how easy it is to take apart and put back together. it works very good. thank you.

For some reason I was thinking this was larger. It is more a desk top small and compacted. My old shredder was a floor model and she just couldn't take too much paper at a time and finally died. I wanted to replace it with around the same size and I do a lot of shipping and use the shredded paper for package. I was going to ship it back but I it works fine but only can use one of two sheets at a time. Overall nice for standard mail, bills and flyers but not for heavy duty and packing materials.
