Rotring Esprit Green Ballpoint Mini-pen

I was eagerly anticipating the arrival of this Rotring small pen to fit into a quality leather note pad. It is attractive, has a unique design ... it expands to a longer length ... thereby, exposing the ink point. I have other Rotring pens and have been extremely pleased with them. My only complaint with this small pen is in the writing, itself ... it does not write smoothly, and the ink appears faded. I am perplexed as to why Rotring did not include a quality refill, as with their other Rotring Pens? I am going to try to find a better refill for it. It is annoying, though, for a pen at this price point to fail to produce a quality end-result. It will not, however, dissuade me from purchasing other Rotring pens, which have been some of my favorites ... and, write beautifully. I will keep this attractive pen because of its size and design, but I remain dissapointed that it does not write as fluidly as its siblings. Still, I would recommend it, with the aforementioned caveat. I continue to be very satisfied with the true value of the vast majority, of the many items, I have purchased from Overstock, over the past several years.
