The hexagonal barrel fits nicely into your hand and won't roll off tables or desks and the durable point won't snap under normal pressure, reducing the need for sharpening. These pencils lay down permanent marks that won't smear when wet and ensure the safety of your work.

  • Very Disappointed

    I was anxious to try my new Prismacolor Premier Verithin color pencils. They come unsharpened. There were three pencils that I had serious trouble trying to get them sharpened. The core kept breaking. The wood surrounding the color core sharpened crooked. On one side it left the core exposed too much while on the other side the wood extended almost to the end of the core lead. I Iost a substantial amount of length on several pencils before I even used them. I used the Prismacolor pencil sharpener. I also tested with another sharpener. I tested sharpening my other pencils, Prismacolor and other brands, and had no trouble sharpening normally with the Prismacolor sharpener. I was left to conclude the wood was defective some how. Perhaps it is a one time bad batch. I use them, but not as intended. They were a set of 12 in the easel box. I would return them, but is not worth it. I am handicapped and it is just too much of a hassle.

  • These are awesome, better than described.

    These are great colored pencils for anyone, however, I think they should be used by artists with some experience. While they are usually higher priced than most, the effects that can be achieved out weigh the extra cost. I will definitely keep these in my "use regularly" area.
