  Nice board but a bit of a pain

  This is a reasonably nice markerboard - definitely a step up from the cheapest ones. But, it does not come with a system for mounting which is anything near sufficient. There are just two little hooks at the top, which supposedly you can drive screws through and have a stable board which you can write on without it banging against the wall. This might be true if it was small, but at 3 feet by 4 feet, it certainly isn't enough. If you get yourself some angle brackets to place along the bottom for it to rest on, and drill through the marker tray to secure the board to the brackets with nuts and bolts, you will be fine. This, however, is a considerable pain if you are not expecting to have to do it. Also, the trim does not look nice - it is pretty cheap, and it had a large defect when it arrived.

  My wife is a teacher and had "Podium Envy" for the other English teachers that had lecterns. I thought for the price, this should be a seriously high quality piece of furniture and the center of her Christmas gifts. Shipping was fine although used a trucking company because the weight is listed above 100 lbs (actually 75 or so) so a bit inconvenient that I had to meet an 18 wheeler in my culdesac to get delivery. Assembly was pretty easy (pin and cam style). Seemed to go together pretty tight but not quite tight enough...passable. Christmas morning she loved it (it is a good looking piece of furniture...the issue came during transportation. During the 5 minutes between VERY gently unloading this item and rolling it (across carpet) to my wife's classroom, two casters had lost their seat within the mount (floppy posts) and with a gentler turn to put it in place the trip on the from of the book holder peeled up 8 inches of the length of the front.   This product is not magnetic. It is exactly as it appears in the picture and great as a dry erase board but we were unable to put any magnets on it as we had planned. Very nice looking and quality is good. They need to change the name to glass white board not magnetic.
