  This lectern not only is very functional, but an attractive dark grey color. It should last years and years!

  My wife is a teacher and had "Podium Envy" for the other English teachers that had lecterns. I thought for the price, this should be a seriously high quality piece of furniture and the center of her Christmas gifts. Shipping was fine although used a trucking company because the weight is listed above 100 lbs (actually 75 or so) so a bit inconvenient that I had to meet an 18 wheeler in my culdesac to get delivery. Assembly was pretty easy (pin and cam style). Seemed to go together pretty tight but not quite tight enough...passable. Christmas morning she loved it (it is a good looking piece of furniture...the issue came during transportation. During the 5 minutes between VERY gently unloading this item and rolling it (across carpet) to my wife's classroom, two casters had lost their seat within the mount (floppy posts) and with a gentler turn to put it in place the trip on the from of the book holder peeled up 8 inches of the length of the front.   • Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? Depends....poorly quality components so two of four casters failed upon first move and trim in front popped up after first use...defects...none that showed but certaily came up quickly (first use)

  This product is not magnetic. It is exactly as it appears in the picture and great as a dry erase board but we were unable to put any magnets on it as we had planned. Very nice looking and quality is good. They need to change the name to glass white board not magnetic.

  Good, simple lectern. Comes in a flat pack which requires assembly. Assembly was fairly simple - took 20 minutes.

  I was warned. I read reviews mentioning the poor quality of the board but ordered it anyway as a Christmas gift. I did not open the box, but wrapped it up and found on Christmas day that there were noticeable and significant scratches to the board. My daughter felt it would still be workable for her studies but has not tried it yet. Sorry Overstock. You've lost a customer.
