I was very impressed with the quality of this pen. It is a sturdy, well-crafted writing instrument that fits well in your hand. The gel ink glides across any type of paper without blobbing or streaking. This pen is comparable to the much more expensive pens that I own (Waterman and Mont Blanc). As someone who still believes in hand-written communication, I would highly recommend this pen.

THIS PEN IS A GREAT PIECE OF WORK--MECHANICALLY DIFFERENT, YOU MUST TURN THE BARRAL OF PEN TO EXPOSE THE WRITING POINT. IT ALSO IS A VERY HEAVY STAINLESS STEEL BOTTOM HALF. THE FEEL IS DIFFERENT THAN YOUR PARKER JOTTER, IT IS NOT THE SAME. IS IT BETTER, ?? THAT DEPENDS ON THE WRITER. AGAIN A HEAVIER PEN THAN YOUR AVERAGE PARKER JOTTER. VERY GOOD FEEL. I was introduced to Parker pens by my headmaster as a 10 year old school boy in the green hills and dales of England and am thoroughly delighted to find they are as solid and as fluid as they were in my youth. This pen transports me back to my English composition classes and fills me with the urge to write yet another 1500 word essay. Somethings never change and one can not improve on perfection. Parker pens are, simply stated the purveyors of "thee" precision writing instrument....bar none!!

I would highly recommend this pen to anyone who enjoys writing in style! This pen is balanced perfectly with a nice heft to it. Just keep in mind to change the refill you have to unscrew the barrel. The twist action to expose the ballpoint works perfect! The gel ink glides on the paper and performs outstanding. 5 stars and above for this Parker pen.
