this looks good for the price, but it's not worth the hassle. After about 6 months, one arm fell off. The bolts underneath continually come loose and require attention. Finally, I took the other arm off (to match) and the back crumble when I went to stand up the other day. It's out on my curb like kindling wood right now. Advice is to splurge a few more dollars on a better quality chair.

I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THE CHAIR A 5 STAR YESTERDAY BUT TODAY THE SCREWS IN THE SEAT CUSHION ARE POKING INTO MY BUTT !!! THE SILLY THING IS SCREWED FROM THE BOTTOM AND THE PADDING IS SO THIN IT DOESN'T COVER THE SCREWS. IT JUST TOOK ABOUT A WEEK FOR THE PADDING TO COMPACT ENOUGH TO DO THIS. SO THE CHAIR IS UNUSABLE UNTIL I BUY A BRAND NEW SEAT SOMEHOW...

There was 1 screw cap missing, assembly instructions were missing, 1 screw would not go all the way in (and I don't like the look of it sticking out), and the chairs' arms were very difficult to attach. Pre-drilled holes just didn't seem lined up well. I thought we were going to seriously damage the arms just trying to attach them. Also, the brown seats look more burgandy than brown.

The chair is very nice - solid and strong, comfortable and fun to spin around in. The assembling was a big pain, however. The instructions said the base had the casters already attached. In our case, they were not and it was very hard to get them to go in. I had to use needle-nose pliers to squeeze the washer-like ring tighter in order for the casters to fit. Also, the directions said to tighten the bolts all the way in assembling the back of the chair to the seat. In doing this, it made it very difficult to attach the arm rests because the holes did not line up at all. After loosening them, it was much easier to attach the arm rests, and then we could tighten all the bolts. I would highly recommend this method. Overall, nice chair - spacious and comfy, and pretty nice to look at.

This is a beautiful chair, a little richer in color than I would like for my desk, but it would look great with any other desk. The chair can be easily assembled if the holes were properly aligned. I spent two hours shaving the holes so that the screws would properly fit. If you decide to purchase this item I hope that yours is more properly made. Hopefully this is only an isolated incident. . I put the chair together by myself. The casters weren't attached as indicated in the instructions. I had to go back to the computer to check the reviews on this, because I couldn't get the arm to line up. Thanks to the reviews! The instructions tell you to tighten the 3 bolts that attaches the seat to the back, If you tighten them you will never get the arm to line up. Once I loosened them it went together beautifully . I'm very pleased with the chair it looks a lot more expensive than it was.

I love the look of the chair however the wheels easily fall off and I have tried numerous ways to lock them in place without success. I'm not sure if this a manufacturers flaw. Read previous reviews for installion tips, they were right on and very helpful

The chair is solid - not as easy as the directions indicated to put together, but with a little common sense, it does go together easily. There were some obvious scratches on the back of the seat that had been filled and stained to match the rest of the chair, but were were quite obvious despite manufacturer's efforts. It wasn't worth returning the chair (as it's quite heavy and I'd already scrapped my old desk chair!).

I am a 55 yrs old woman, and assembling this chair was a breeze. I ordered on a Monday, and it arrived on Wednesday! You should at least have a little know-how with assembling things. I have no complaints about the assembling, it took bout 45 min, be patient and leave ALL 3 arm bolts LOOSE until all arm bolts (3 each arm) are aligned and started. Beautiful chair-Great price-and FREE SHIPPING. Awesome

Picked this chair after looking at similar ones on the Target and Pottery Barn websites. It is just as nice and WAY less expensive! It is comfortable, adjusts up and down well, and swivels perfectly. A great buy!

This chair is the perfect look for our office. Not too dressy but sleek and distinct for an office chair. Love that it isn't bulky but my husband, who is built well, likes the feel of it.

classic-looking chair. wood is a good honey color. assembly was easy except for the caps to cover the screws. couldn't get those in, but didn't care. it is slightly wider than a normal work chair. it's not an heirloom or anything but it's much cuter than a normal task chair and comfy enough for moderate use.

The chair came unassembled, but the directions were fairly easy to follow, and there were no missing parts. Although it did take some time to put it together, it was worth the time. I love the look of the chair and it is holding up very well.

This chair is of a sturdy design, but a reason for its low relative cost might be that the holes drilled in the chair's seat, into which the arms are to be bolted, do not align. The specifications call for each arm to be attached to two holes in the seat. But only one of these holes can be used, as the other hole is drilled in an inaccessible area of the chair, one that is out of alignment and is an apparent defect. This is disappointing.

First off the chair was delivered quickly, that was a plus. It was relatively easy to assemble and is very sturdy and well made. I like the adjustable height to fit desk height and body type. I am very pleased with this chair and the cherry wood looks very rich -- works in traditional and contemporary settings. A great value for the money.

I really like the style of the OFFICE STAR PADDED BANKER'S CHAIR. However, I ordered the brown, and it is not brown, it is maroon. Therefore, it does not match the other furniture in my office. I would return them, but I am in the middle of a move and did not keep their original packing material, and the boxes were already falling apart when they arrived. I guess I'm stuck with non-matching chairs. Oh well. Lesson Learned!

This chair was exactly what I was looking for and is comfortable. It matches the corner mission desk that I also received at o.com. colors were perfect. Install pretty easy and after sitting 6 hours, I would agree with others that a pad is a good addition.

this chair is as good or better than some of the reveiws said .The assembly was fast and easy, as some reports said put the bolts in and leave loose and them tighten when all are in place . It does sit comfortable and is a good addition to my home office. The shipping was on time and it arrived in perfect shape.
