I am a karaoke host & my show is six hours long, six nights a week. I was using a regular bar stool for a couple of weeks & was going home very sore every night. This Stool is comfortable to set on for long periods of time. foot rest is sturdy & chair spins 360 degress whichis wonderful for all the moving around I have to do. Oh,by the way I'm over 300 lbs.

I'm a web designer that works at a desk all day everyday. I recently built a tall desk so that I could stand while working. The setup works very well but there are still times when I would like to sit down. This was the tallest chair I could find, and fortunately one of the cheapest. It allows me to comfortably alternate between standing and sitting at my tall desk. At 36" this chair is insanely high and I get lots of surprised looks from very intrigued people when they see my setup. Chair was easy to assemble and feels like it's gonna last forever.

This is a great chair for many uses. I have a work table that I can stand at or sit in this seat. I slide it over a couple feet and I can pay my keyboard. Turn it around and can play the guitar. I suppose it would be good at a drafting table too. It is high for my desk though. Speedy delivery and reasonable cost, and you already know about O's great shipping rates, what more can I expect.

Love this chair... It is perfect for my adjustable height drafting table. I love the foot rest because it's attached to the chair versus a ring that's height adjustable. The fact that it came with sliders as well as casters was a bonus. I didn't want casters on a wood floor.

Frankly, I was expecting a cheap *** or *** chair that would fall apart in 3 months; what I got was a solid and comfortable drafting high chair that felt like I had bought it at AI Friedman and paid 4x the sticker price. I bought this chair because my standard office chair was cheap and falling apart, I wanted lower back support (I'm pretty tall), and because, as I'm very tall, I wanted a higher chair to match a higher working desk I had purchased. This product suits the bill, plus the seat and back are leather and not the fabric I've been sitting on for years. Much happier! I was pleasantly surprised to find that the chair came with both wheel and static/solid extensions. I ended up using the solid extensions to hold the chair in place and I'm thrilled.

This is as presented, so it looks good and doesn't take too long to construct. It also feels sturdy. In the picture, you see the footrest at about the lowest point it can reach, so this chair isn't ideal for standard table heights, or even some of Overstock's drafting tables (because you can't easily fit under the desktop on this). The minimum is high but the maximum height is perilous - you can reach the top shelf on this chair while seated.

Occasionally, I'm not able to stand for periods of time w/o my back seizing. I needed a chair/stool for my kitchen when I prep food. A regular office/desk stool is not efficient because they aren't able to be adjusted high enough. This drafting stool is perfect because of the adjustable height which gives many options for working at the counter or kitchen table. And it's important for this application that it doesn't have arm rests, which can get in the way. I can scoot around very easily, but need to be careful so it doesn't roll when I don't want it to. If it came with a hand brake, it would be perfect!

Comfortable, goodlooking, adjustable height works well...if only it came in expresso brown...

Chair was very easy to assemble. Pay attention to the manual when you assemble the bottom plate. Follow the screw order as spelled in the manual. The chair is comfortable. I use a height-adjustable desktop and set it so I can work while standing up. When I get tired I sit on this chair which is high enough (the seat can be adjusted between 26" to 36" in height). The foot rest is at a reasonable distance so your thighs are parallel to the floor at any height. Chair comes with casters and a set of rubber feet to keep it stationary, if you so wish. Back support is comfy and at a reasonable distance so your lower back rests with a quick push back. So far I am getting my money's worth with this chair.

After my husband did a search on a ga-zillion websites for chairs for me... he found this chair. It had the highest reviews by far of almost all the chairs we found. The price was good (bought it on amazon for less). It was easy to assemble. It fits my drafting table at the U of O perfectly. It has a great range of heights and is super comfy. I thought that I wanted a chair with arm rests - but really - they would get in the way, now that I see how the desk provides my main arm support. If you are looking for a chair that will fit a studio desk - get this one - you wont regret it. Also - it looks fabulous too! I have to say that in the evening when I am at home, and my other friends are still hard at work in studio - my chair is well used by all.

Ordered this chair based on other positive reviews from Overstock. It arrived in a timely manner and I assembled it. Assembly was super easy; didn't have to wonder where any parts were placed. Didn't even have to look at any documentation to assemble it. Once together, the chair looked great! I did think the seat was going to be a bit thicker and more padded but it seems comfortable enough. The seat is firm and it seems like I could spend some hours sitting and not get tired. The chair rolls really well too. Height adjustment is actually MORE than I need (for a change). Overall, I say "winner!"

the chair seems to be okay so far.. the casters(wheels) are a bit loud when you roll the chair but it's to much work to have to use the pegs and carry the chair away from my counter everyday at the end of my shift. So I deal with the loud noise from the casters. The vinyl seat holds up nicely so far but certain clothing fabrics rub on the chair and make.. lets just say noises...overall its better than the first chair I purchased here. hopefully this one will last more than 4 months!

Husband wanted a confortable stool-style chair to work in the garage at a high work bench. I had a hard time finding one because he is tall and weighs close to 300lbs. This chair fits the bill perfectly. He commented again to me the other day how much he loves this chair. One problem we had was the carton it came in was pretty beaten & torn up. (Wish Overstock would put the original package inside a new shipping box to avoid these problems.) I was really surprised some of the parts weren't missing. And, there were no instructions on how to assemble it. Luckily my husband is good with stuff like this and he had no problem figuring it out. All in All, a great purchase!

The first month I used this chair I was very pleased. Casters rode smoothly, the chair itself was comfortable, and the height range of the chair was excellent. After the first month, I noticed that the chair would occasionally sink down to its lowest position over night. With more use, I found it would sink to the bottom while sitting on it. At first I thought it was from sitting on the edge, but no, even sitting square in the center it continues to sink, making the chair useless. Since the problem didn't manifest until after the returns window, I'm now stuck with the chair. Maybe I got a lemon or maybe this is an inherent defect, but the bottom line is I can't recommend it. This was a dealbreaker for me (and would be for any chair I bought), so caveat emptor.

I use this chair to sew on my sewing machine which is placed on a counter height table. As a quilter I decided that sitting on a counter height would cause me less breaks in my number of visits to the cutting board, to the ironing board to the sewing machine....and this chair perfectly fits the task. Despite reading all the good reviews about the good quality construction of this chair.....I held reservations about it thinking ...."really, how good a quality can this be for the price that it is offered?!!" Once I unpacked it and put it together...all the other reviewers ( and now me included) are right....that it is of GOOD QUALITY CHAIR AT VERY REASONABLE PRICE!! Happy customer here.

This has been a great office chair for my (mostly) standing workstation, for times when I do want to sit. It has the option to have wheels or not, which is nice. The footrest is not adjustable, but I'm 5'5" and it is at a good height. It is not the most comfortable footrest - sometimes I feel like it hurts my feet when I rest them on it for a long time because it's just a chrome bar. But that's really my only complaint about this chair. I think it's a great value for the price and definitely a sturdy, high-quality chair.

These chairs are amazing. Very sturdy. I purchased 6 of them for my web design studio, and they are perfect. It's hard to find a chair that rolls, moves up and down, is counter height, and looks good. This one meets and exceeds all my expectations. It is actually very comfortable too. We have standing desks, and these are the perfect solution for when you need to sit down for a few minutes to rest.
