Nice and comfortable. Feels substantial and of high quality. I am not handy and I put it together in about 20 minutes without one f-bomb! That's plenty impressive for me. I'm big and tall and this chair is comfortable and roomy!Read More
...by my son in law. I was needed to hold the seat back up and to verify a few of the diagrams, and I MIGHT have been able to build it solo but for the step of installing the seat back. That's because the seat back has a REAL STEEL bracket. The casters are noticeably larger than standard, the 5-star "leg assembly" is REAL STEEL, the entire seat frame is REAL steel. The seventy pound box arrived intact, the box was well-packed, all the key pieces had extra corrugated box material wrapping it. The assembly was very straightforward if you notice in the diagram how a smallish table can hold the seat high enough for the arms to stay above the ground, and we could stand during most of the assembly. Granddaughter (5) helped by installing the hydraulic post into the leg assembly. It was such a pleasant surprise to put my seat into the ample seat and to find resistance. The Leather/vinyl stays taut after getting up, and the cloth sides let the air enter or leave as needed. Sitting properly in the chair forces me to relax while I type. I agree the arms are about 1.5" lower than I would normally like them, but I can adjust my shoulders so that the elbows rest on the arm rests. They give full support if I lean right or left, since the arms are anchored in REAL STEEL. The swivel process while getting out of the chair has a solid feel. I like the adjustable lumbar support just where it is. For reference, I'm 6'3", about 330 pounds. The seat height seems perfect for my legs, and I make sure to get up every 40-80 minutes and walk around like I'm supposed to. In summary, I've found nothing but sturdy workmanship, a comfortable seat and back , and no pressure points on my legs or lower back. Typing on my home computers is now as it always had been in my office. Office Star has a Big and Tall Office Chair to be proud of.Read More

was nervous about purchasing a chair without sitting in it but the dimension were very acurate. if you are tall and need a long seat pan to sit comfortably for several hours at a time, this is a good working chair; and even though the arms are not height adjustable, you can insert them backwards and gain a couple of inches. it was just enough to fit comfortably under the desk while having the chair height tall enough from my long legs to sit correctly. it's a good work chair for paperwork and some computingRead More
I am 6'5" and find that I don't quite fit in this chair. Also, there is no "stop" to the tilt function and I feel like it's always throwing me forward and out of the chair. Lumbar does hit very nicelyRead More
I am 5' 9" and 360lbs. I find the cushion VERY comfortable. It is firm, yet soft. Feels expensive. Pro: The mesh is nice, it is a heavy sturdy cloth mesh, not a metal mesh like I feared. first con: While there are only 16 screws and a tiny allen wrench to assemble this, I was pretty unhappy about the one particular screw and hole that did not allow me to tight the screw all the way down. I'm a woman, and single and don't have a tool war chest, or a burly man at my disposal. So, while I got 15 screws tightened fine, there is one screw that is barely in there. (1 of the 4 that attach the seat mount to the seat. ). Pro: Luckily this seat is VERY sturdy, and I think the other 3 will hold this thing in place no problem. Pro: For you tall folks, the adjustable seat does go pretty high! Which is nice. Proper Ergonomics say that your legs should be at a 90 degree angle at the knee bend, so that is achievable in this chair. another con: The arm resets do not come up very high. My last chair did, and I keep leaning over to rest my arm and find myself dropping quickly down 4" to an uncomfortable position. They are comfortable if you don't mind leaning over like the tower of Piza. This is a large chair, and fits my ample hind end just fine. There is a lower lumbar that adjusts, but since the seat back isn't straight up, I don't really notice it. If I lean back in the seat I would not be able to type on my computer. Not sure what that is all about and I would call it a con for this chair. I like something that supports an upright, ergonomic position. Overall, I like it and I think it will outlast any other chairs I've ever had. I usually go cheap (99.00) and regret it within 6 months. I bet this thing lasts for quite a few years before it starts to show signs of wear and tear. The price is variable all over the internet. Today, when searching around, I found the chair 50 bucks cheaper at another site with no tax and free shipping. So shop around. But if you can't find a better deal, and you are on the fence, and my review doesn't put you off, then I say spring for it.Read More
I was reluctant to buy such an expensive chair, only to have the wrong chair again (we have gone thru many many chairs - now all out on the back porch), BUT THIS CHAIR IS A KEEPER! Hubby has had 5 back surgeries, is 6/5" tall, 220#, and it is hard to find a good fit for him! He uses it in the living room and LOVES IT! Only wish the arm rests went higher, and the back reclined just a little, but we can live without these features...it works great! COMFORTABLE!! Glad to have bought it!Read More
I've had this chair about 2 weeks and it has performed as expected. I'm a big guy and the chair is supportive and comfortabel enough to sit in for hours at the time!Read More
The chair put together ok, and seems like good quality. The chair is really big. I'm 250 lbs and 6-1 and it's really too big for me. What surprised me was that it was so high. Even at it's lowest setting, I have to hunch over to type and use the mouse, and I'm not really that tall. I don't think whoever designed this chair was tall, or they would know that tall people actually like to be lower down so it is a "normal" reach to the desk tops. Well, I tend to be tall in the torso, some people are tall in the legs, so this would suit someone who has really long legs and a short torso, and is pretty heavy. For those people, I say this is the chair for you. Alternatively, you could have tall furniture, that would work too. I like the quality and solid feel, hence the 3 stars, but for my use, it's being relegated to a guest chair.Read More
This chair was incredibly easy to put together and quick. It is strong, comfortable and seems tough enough to withstand the business of this work area. I have already told others about it. I thought the price was a bit high, but considering the other chairs we have had to discard, this is fine.Read More

Office Chair Buying Guide
For people who sit at their desk for hours each day, a comfortable office chair is essential. An office chair should fit your body and work environment. Anyone who sits in at a desk every day, whether in a home office or a cubicle, knows that there are pains associated with desk jobs and the wrong desk chairs. Lower back pain, leg fatigue, headaches, sore shoulders and arms, concentration problems and pain in the knees and calves: the list of complaints is large. Eliminate these problems by identifying elements of office chairs that will help and not hinder. Some chairs look great, but the moment you're forced to sit in them for hours, their looks may be the only positive thing about them. How do you find comfortable office furnishings that will support you for hours? This office chair buying guide is here to help you with that question.
How to Adjust the Height of an Office Chair
There are different styles and designs of computer or office chairs. Most new models are adjusted pneumatically. Pneumatic office chairs have a lever or a button below the seat that you can push or pull to adjust the height. Older computer chair models can be adjusted by turning a thick bolt (these bolts usually have a thick plastic molded cover with finger grips). Adjusting the height of your office chair to fit your body type is very important. Back ache and pinched nerves can occur otherwise -- especially after long periods of sitting.
How to Pick an Office Chair to Reduce Back Pain
Most office workers sit at their desks all day in an office chair. Your office chair's level of comfort has the power to make your day fly by or drag on and on. Back pain caused by office chairs can be a major source of discomfort if you don't have the right kind of chair. While there's no one-chair-cures-all solution, it is possible to find an office chair that will help to ease your aching back. Look below to learn how to pick an office chair to reduce back pain.
How to Find Comfortable Inexpensive Office Chairs

How to Clean the Wheels of a Rolling Office Chair
Rolling task chairs are great for allowing you to move around your desk easily. But when the wheels of your office chair stop working well, the chair moves from being a convenience to being a struggle. The wheels often stop working because they become clogged with dirt, hair and other debris. Fortunately, cleaning the wheels of a rolling office chair is a simple task that can return your chair back to a pleasurable piece of furniture to use.
Tips on Selecting a Computer Chair
Look and brand name are important, but when selecting a computer chair, or any office chair or desk chair, appearance should not be your first priority; the most important aspects to consider when choosing an office chair are comfort and durability. If you have an office job or spend long periods of time at your computer each day, then it's important to have proper computer chair to ensure a productive work session. How to Pick a Mat to Use Under an Office Chair
Carpeted floors usually provide too much resistance for office chairs with rollers to work well. In addition, rolling a chair over carpet will wear down the carpet fibers over time. Mats designed for these areas are a practical solution to both issues. Mats can also protect harder, uncarpeted floors -- such as vinyl or wood, from wear caused by chair rollers. There are several styles and colors of these mats. When choosing a mat to use under your rolling office chair, it's not always best to choose the first one you see -- some are more suitable for low-pile carpets or wood floors, and some are perfect for use on heavy, thick carpeting.
Plastic Chairs vs Wood Chairs
Whether you're looking for dining chairs, kids' chairs, bar stools, lawn furniture or office chairs, both plastic and wood designs are available. Are you looking for bright colors, smooth curves or ornate styles? Each material has its benefits, so you can select the chairs that are the perfect furniture for your home.
How to Use an Ergonomic Chair Correctly
Ergonomic chairs support the back and legs for optimal posture. Sitting improperly for long hours places strain on the spine and legs, which can cause pain. Ergonomic chairs are designed to minimize strain and prevent pain and other health problems associated with poor sitting posture. The chairs work best when they are adjusted and used correctly. Improper use of even the best ergonomic chairs mitigates their effectiveness. You'll see and feel the best results only if you use your ergonomic chair correctly.
