I've needed a new office chair for a while. Last year I purchased one after sitting on it in the store for over an hour. I spent a few hours assembling it and when I sat in it I got shooting pains down my legs. I tried for a couple of days but finally disassembled it (a few more hours) and returned it. Before this purchase, I spent a lot of time at Office Star's site reading the detailed specs as well as all the reviews on this chair here and elsewhere. I was still a little leery of buying a chair I had never sat in. I needn't have worried. Assembly was a breeze. Push in the 5 casters (push hard), screw in 11 screws (4 with washers), drop in the pneumatic tube, put the chair on the tube and you're done. The seat and the back are not at all flimsy. That means they're fairly heavy, but the chair is so well balanced that I had no trouble attaching the back by myself. (You have to supply your own Phillips head screwdriver.) The chair is quite comfortable and the back support is forcing me to sit properly for the first time in ages. The mesh feels quite strong and I'm not worried about it sagging any time soon despite the fact that I'm a large woman. The seat is thick leather but it is flexible. The leather is on the top and front only -- the sides and back are mesh which I assume allows it to compress and expand better and it looks fine. My favorite feature is the adjustable arms. Between the office and home, I spend a lot of time on the computer and I always have knots in my neck muscles. Once I realized that the fixed arms on both chairs I used were too high, adjustable arms became a requirement for me. I've set the arms a fraction of an inch below what I'm used to, forcing me to drop my shoulders to make contact. After only 5 days I can already see and feel the difference. If I could change anything, the seat would be about 2 inches deeper, but I knew that before I bought it. I didn't see another chair of similar quality with the features I wanted (leather seat, mesh back and adjustable arms) plus a deeper seat unless I wanted to spend at least double what I did. I consider it a good trade-off. And the chair is fairly big but, because the mesh back, it visually takes up less room that my old chair. That's important because I live in a small apartment and my computer is in my living room.

The chair is heavy, well made, and comfortable for taller people I'm told. I'm 5'2". My feet don't completely reach the floor, even at the lowest level, and the lumbar support is about 3" above where I need it to be. It was purchased for my home office, which gets a lot of use. I have only had the chair for a few days, but I think it will last a long time...for my adult son. The top and front of the seat are black leather and the sides are a sturdy mesh. The arm rests are 3-4" wide, molded to cradle your arms, cushy, and adjust to 6 levels. The five caster wheel base is substantial, so even "leaners" and "rockers" would have work hard to tip the chair. Each caster has two wheels that move independently, so the chair is easy to maneuver. Assembly Instructions are well illustrated and the 5 step process was fairly easy for two people considering the weight of the chair.

I have seen chairs like this for over **** in Manhattan.This one is a bargain. Thank you to the other reviewers that made me believe this was a good buy. Easy to set up and extra comfortable.

Solid chair for the money. It's not a Herman Miller or top of the line item, but it gets the job done for the right price.

After reviewing several chairs, I settled on this chair based the information given. I am pleased with the Air Grid back for support. I find the leather seat to be comfortable and a good size. The arm rest are comfortable and the right height. Overall, I am please with the chair and consder it a good buy for the money.

very comfortable chair. the arm rests to my suprise were exremely ergonomic as well as the entire chair. If you need a wide and comfortable chair, select this one. The wheels glide smoothly, and the adjustments are a breeze to use.

This chair was easy to put together. It is sturdy and comfortable, and the adjustable seat and arm heights make it more so. It has made my long hours at the computer pain-free. I like this chair better than the ones I bought for my office that cost more than twice the price.

This chair a good ergonomic chair to work at home in! It was not difficult to assemble and has most of the features you would need in an ergo chair. The back support is good but the only thing I didn't like is that the seat pan doesn't move forward or backward. Depending on how big you are (I'm 5'4", 150 lbs) you may not like that the seat pan hits right behind your knees. Otherwise, it's cushiony leather (good quality) and was definitely worth the money!

I looked for a chair that was a reasonable price and importantly comfortable for the office. This leather cushioning seat is perfect so long time seat at a desk in the office. Its clean and nice looking, comfortable, good price and easy to work with. You can adjust the arm rest and the height of the chair. It was also very easy to put the chair together. I am happy with my purchase.

Wow! What a chair! Purchased this for a home office but it could easily be used in a work environment. The seat is dense foam, very comfy, and the back mesh breathes and envelops your back while you sit. It went together in less than 10 minutes, no missing pieces, good directions. Great chair for the money.

If you like a chair that is firm, yet still comfortable, this is a good choice. I'm considering getting another.
