For the price this is a sufficient file cabinet; lightweight and esy to move. The cabinet comes ASSEMBLED so aside from attaching the casters it's ready to use right out of the box. The construction is sturdy and made of metal (not steel) so I suspect not fireproof ... though I hope to not find out. Handles are plastic and it does come with casters. The top drawer is great for storing supplies such as pens, small electronics, etc. and along with the first file drawer, locks. The lock itself is suffient to keep out curious family members/roomates but wouldn't hold up in an actual burglary. Buy Two For A Great Desk Alternative!!!! I bought two of these and now have a great looking and large functional desk. This is a cost effective alternative to buying a standard desk and is great for students because it is easy to move. To make a desk you need the following: 2 - Office Designs file cabinets 1 - closet or bedroom door from your local hardware store (pre-drilled knob hole a + for wires) 1 - roll of Velcro 1 - pint of paint or stain (optional) Align the file cabinets at the location you want your desk using the door as a guide for alignment. Attach Velcro to bottom side of door and top side of cabinets. Place door on top of cabinets and you're done! For less than $200 you have a six drawer desk with enough space to work on.

This is a good file cabinet and the wheels make it very user-friendly. I especially like the top drawer, perfect for pens, checkbooks, odds and ends. It comes fully assembled except for the wheels and very well packaged. The paint finish was perfect, just don't use a rough microfiber cloth to dust. Swiffer it.

After putting some files in the bottom drawer, I am now unable to open it. It is by no means full and there isn't anything even in the middle drawer yet. I am very disappointed and considering how much it would cost to ship back and the pain of boxing it up again, I feel stuck with it.

I am very impressed with this filing cabinet and the top drawer was unexpected and believe me it is being utilized. I love it and if I had the room, I would order another one. It's small enough to fit in my tiny room, but big enough to hold all the paperwork that's been lying all over the place. The top also comes in handy to hold my lamp and other office type supplies. Very good buy for me.

The filing cabinet was packaged well for delivery. It arrived with no shipping damage. I pulled it out of the box, used a screw driver to add the wheels on the bottom. Within minutes... I was putting into use. Something I would caution potential buyers about is that only the top 2 drawers lock. I was a little anxious about how it would look... it looks nice, nicer than I had expected. Glad I made this purchase.

We use this file cabinet in a small office-it is perfect to set our computer printer on. The drawers open & close easily. The cabinet is fairly lightweight, but found it to be sturdier than expected. Some reviewers had trouble with the wheels-we use our cabinet as a stationary cabinet, so casters were not installed or an issue for us.

It's an ok little filing cabinet. I didn't expect it to be the highest quality though. Inside of the drawer are silver metal which I was a little disappointed about I expected them to be black but it's not like you see the inside of the drawer unless you open it anyways. I was VERY dissappointed that the handles were plastic. I didn't get that indication any where in the discription, I though the handles would be metal like the filing cabinet. One the plus side the height is just perfect for what I want it for. For what I paid for it, I'm pleased.

This is a great file cabinet for home use. Sure it is lighter weight than the commercial ones, but for the price, good. I read one review complaining about how hard the wheels were to install. Took me five minutes with a drill / screwdriver. Sharp looking as well.

Recieved them they were kinda scratched. And went to put the wheels on they had no holes for the wheels in the front. They were scratched from being shipped but not to terrible. I just cant believe for the money I paid they had no holes for the screws. would not recommend to friends.
