This shelf is exactly what it was represented to be. I was able to quickly set it up. The instructions are fair - be careful to realize there are some support bars that do not have holes and some do. It will save you some reassembly time. :-)

we got this for husbands home office. looks very sleek and modern. it's not the most sturdy book shelf but d0oes a great job. holds binders perfectly. i put together all by myself. my recommendation is to put it together very loosely on the floor. then lift up aright and level it, tighten the top and bottom and all the rods and shelft in between while making sure it's level. also, it seemed to be leaning away from wall quite a bit. after unscrewwing the front feet out some it raised the front more and is against the wall- not wobbly at all now. it sits on carpet too.

We ordered this metal bookcase for the second time and it has not disappointed us: sturdy, sleak lines and blends nicely with the room decor. The only issue we had was that we received it later than expected due to the inclement weather in the Northeast. When we unpacked it, it had a couple of small scratches on the metal parts, and one of the small black plastic-like corners was broken.

We ordered this last year and have been using for my daughters books in her bedroom. It is holding up great! She is a teenager and so we are not talking Dr. Seuss size books here. It was easy to put together, her and I did it ourselves!

one of the cross bars was not solid, it had screw holes but we put that one on the bottom and you can't see it. Also one of the bars arrived bent but it was pretty easy to bend back into shape. Looks very nice and is worth the money

I bought this shelf to match a desk purchased at Target. I was concerned about the color but when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The color is spot on and matched the desk beautiful. The shelf is heavy and solid and looks great in my office. As to putting it together, I'm not sure. My husband put it together and complained the whole time, then again he hates that particular chore anyway. I've put together a ton of things and as I watched I thought it was pretty easy. Anyway it's a great buy for the money.

The shelves came without hardware, Overstock sent another set. Easy to assemble, large size is good for the bedroom. Very masculine looking.

Very satisfied to find this bookcase which matches our son's bedroom furniture by another manufacturer. It is solid (not flimsy metal or shelves) and I was able to put it together by myself in about 30 minutes. Another great purchase from Overstock!

I needed a replacement for the plain white bookshelf from college days. I chose the Cherry finish and was pleasantly surprised with the look. The side walls and bars along the back side of each shelf help hold books well without them flopping over or falling out. Great shelves for the price.

I think this shelf would be good for a little boys room. We actually ordered the cherry shelves to go with our office and received the black instead. We didn't want to bother with sending it back. They look cheap and feel like plastic. I really think the shipping is built into the pricing here, because this shelf isn't worth more than $40. The only thing I really like was how easy it was to put together and the industrial look of the sides.

We weren't sure about the build quality or how it would look in real life. However, the price along with reviews by others allowed us to take a chance and try it out. I must say, we're very happy with our purchase. Assembled, the shelf looks really nice and is very sturdy. Assembly was relatively easy and took us less than half an hour. I was unsure whether or not I'd like these shelves, but they were the best ones I could find for the money I wanted to spend, so I took a chance. Turns out I'm really pleased with them. They're sturdy and hold a lot of books, and they've got a kind of industrial look that's going to work well in my office. Assembling them was easy, but kind of tedious. There are lots of screws to attach, but all pieces fit well together and all the necessary hardware was included. Using a power drill makes the whole process much faster, so if you don't have one try to find one to borrow before you begin setting up these shelves. Overall I think these shelves are much nicer than others I've seen in this price range. I recommend them.

I'd like it to be a little more sturdy but for the most part it's apretty good value for the $$.

Great bookcases, wish I had purchased these a few months ago when it took hours to assemble another bookcase I purchased at a Office supplies store.

I bought the bookcase for my son and he loves it. His landlord had commented on what a nice piece it was when he had just finished putting it together. It was a real value, and delivery was great as always.

I bought this for my home office, and it's a great bookcase for the price. Holds a lot of books, and was very easy to put together (if you don't mind screwing in a lot of screws). For once with an assemble-it-yourself item, all the parts fit together well and were in good condition. It doesn't look like an expensive piece of furniture, but it's perfect for an office, dorm room, or casual, modern, industrial-style living area.
