Classy and solid
I bought this piece for my University office. It is well made, well finished and has quality hardware in and out. All panels in and out are solid and thick (the top is almost 1-1/2 inches thick) and it is heavy. It was shipped inside a box strapped down to wooden pallet (good idea) and takes two people to navigate. Best of all it cost a lot less than standard gray metal University issue. The weight might seem like overkill, but not so; you can rest assured it will not topple over if you accidentally open the top drawer without first shutting the bottom drawer, so no tossed flower-pots, or vases, or spilled coffee, etc, (sound familiar?)

Heavy Perfection
Solid,well constructed & heavy.(very heavy,mr.fembot said to mention that part yet again) Safety interlocks. Best of all,a really attractive piece of office furniture. Not junk.

Solid piece of furniture. Excellent file cabinet!!
I never right reviews, but I had to comment on this file cabinet. It is a very sturdy, well built office product. I considered some others from the office supply stores and they all came unassembled. This came ready to go, not damaged in any way, very nice looking and sturdy. I don't think you can beat it for the money. One caveat: you really can't over emphasize that this is a very heavy piece. But if you want a solid, large file cabinet, this would be it. Also, I know they have the measurements, but in my mind I was picturing something about "letter" size deep. It can fit legal size folders - so it is pretty deep. You can hang the folders long ways in one row or in two rows from front to back.

Nice Filing Cabinet
It's a nice, big cabinet with two drawers. Each drawer could hold two rows of 8/12x14 files. It would have been better to have three rows and more support for the middle hanging sections. The cabinet looks good but is very heavy. It's a good value for the price.
