Not great quality
 from Colorado,  Jun 13, 2014

I bought two of these - a 60", and a 66". The top is supposed to be "laminate", but the 1 & 3/16" particle-board desktop is only covered with a very thin - and I mean ULTRA thin - veneer. I am concerned the top will not be durable in every-day usage. The edges of the desk surface is NOT laminate. It is a hard plastic strip, probably glued in-place. Also, the pre-drilled and pre-tapped holes in the legs, designed to screw in the pedestal and back were slightly "obsured" by the outer surface of the legs - meaning though the hole was in the right place, the screw would not go in because the screw-hole was obscured. Fortunately, I had the tools to remove the necessary material from the opening and properly expose the screw hole. The shipping box provided minimal protection and the sheer weight of the desktops completely smashed the small Styrofoam pieces used to protect the corners. This allowed ALL the parts to move around inside the box enough to marr and abrade the desktop corners AND the paint on the other parts. Not serious damage, but just the same a proper shipping box would have prevented this. And here is a strange: Though the pedestals are identical, on one, the top drawer open to 13.5 inches. On the other, the top drawer opens only to 10"! I actually measured the distance from the front of the drawer slide to the plastic "stop" and THEY ARE 1.5 inches different! This is a HUGE difference and the result is that the "short" opening drawer when open, has more drawer "hidden" under the desktop than is exposed making the contents hard to reach. The back of the desk, at the bottom has a "cable tray" which is completely useless. It is too narrow for many cables, and has no access holes along it through which to run cables into and out of the "cable tray". I solved the problem by making my own sheet-metal "shelf" between the back of the drawer pedestal and the desk back. All my power strips, and computer equipment power supplies fit on this home-made shelf and completely obscure all cables from being visible under the desk. The bottom line is that these desks clearly suffer from poor quality control. The assembly holes should not be covered by the sheet metal forming the outer surface of the legs! The drawers should open to the same distance! A "laminate" should be a real, durable laminate! I would not recommend these desks.

Nice desk, good pricel
from Charleston, WV,  Jun 22, 2013

It is a well made desk. The assembly was not too difficult. It was well worth its price.
