Chairmat with lip is designed and properly weighted for low-pile carpets up to 3/8"" with little or no padding. Design features vinyl construction and a beveled edge for easy on/off chair movement. Decent chair mat I had refurbished my office and replaced the carpet. It was a thicker pile, so I needed a mat in order to be able to move my chair around easier. This mat does allow easy movement, but even with the "teeth" on the bottom, it still scoots around too much and I am constantly having to rearrange it. It does serve the purpose I was looking for, but it is annoying to have to keep moving my chair off of it to rearrange the mat.
