My wife mentioned a lap desk as one of her wishes in our conversation about Xmas gifts. I didn`t know exactly what it was, so I decided to do an on-line search. I found exactly what I thought she wanted at Overstock.com. I placed the order and received it in a couple of days even during the mail rush period. She could not have been more please with one of the things she can use daily for reading, writing, etc. Thanks for the quick service.

I bought this to use for my laptop while sitting in bed or on the couch. It tilts at a perfect angle, and the memory foam makes it super comfortable in your lap. There are 2 pockets (1 on each side) that have a small velcro closure. The desk is a hard black shiny plastic that is secured on all 4 corners with elastic bands for easy desktop removal. The attached carrying handle is also very handy. The bright red memory foam cover is removable via zipper. I am happy!

I purchased this to replace my old lap desk, which wasn't very comfortable. This one is great! The memory foam makes it feel like you have a nice, soft pillow perched on your legs while still giving you a very stable surface to work on. I've used it with my laptop for several hours at a stretch without any discomfort. The two velcro side pockets are a nice touch. I use them to tuck my ipod into while its charging and then store the charging cable in one when it's not in use. I think the fabric could be a bit nicer, but for the price I really can't complain.

I have been looking for a lap desk for several months to replace my old wore out one. I was pleasantly surprised when I received this product. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and I am very happy with it. I would recommend this lap desk to anyone.

I bought this for my mother who likes to watch TV and have dinner. She is too small for a TV table and this cleans up easily. I came with 2 tops so she can write and then lift her paperwork and have a clean top for dinner. An it's heavy for her lap or to pick up. Very happy with the purchase and the price!

This is a simple, very attractive, excellent quality lap desk. The size is adequate to perch a mouse, if necessary. the memory foam is encased in a pretty cover; i chose the crimson red. The top is made of a sturdy, NON-SLIP shiny black plastic. It is attractive and VERY comfortable. I LOVE it

I received this as a gift and could not be more disappointed. The top piece is a shiny flimsy piece of plastic that flexes when it shouldn't. The surface is so slippery that my laptop keeps sliding off of the "desk". Once it fell all the way to the floor with a crash. The "pocket" that's shown is so narrow there's no way something like reading glasses will stay in it. The memory foam base is a nice concept - the top is just such low quality it ruins the whole piece. I would definitely not recommend this.

One thing the wife say would make this product totally complete is if it had a side out for the mouse otherwise perfect for what she was looking for.

Very comfortable, love the carry handle and the side pockets hold usb/charging cables perfectly.

This item was a Christmas gift and fit exactly the need. Great microfiber cover and memory foam lap pad. Came with 2 changeable boards, apparently in the event of loss or damage. Great price when compared with local retailers.

My wife needed a new lap desk to replace the uncomfortable one she had. From the pictures and description, I figured this red lap desk would fit her needs. I was wrong. First, the "desk" as we'll call it was shipped in bag-- always a sign that the product isn't worth protecting with cardboard. The material is some kind of cheap velvet stuff. The hard surface material is a super cheap, shiny plastic. It was warped, the edges sharp to the the touch because it was cheap plastic. Did I say it was shiny and that it warps easily? Yes. It's so shiny that when you place your laptop on it, the thing slides off. You are better off folding a newspaper and using that for a lap desk than this product.

My daughter loves to do her homework sitting on the couch and this is perfect! It is portable too so we can take it in the car. It has a hard top that can be flipped around so it has a lip at the bottom. That way, pencils will not roll off. Brilliant!

Love this! It is so comfortable and I use it alot! I had recent back surgery so I am laying down quite often and this is oerfect. Lightweight yet very sturdy. I remember when they used to be bean bags and sound "crunchy"..no more..this is awesome! Highly recommended!

I like the Lap Caddy and it works well for most things. The only thing that I wold like better is if it had a bigger slope or angle. It would make it a little easier to read and write when I'm sitting on the sofa. I like the pockets on the side to hold my pen and glasses.

I bought this for my mother so she can bring her new laptop and new wireless router in farm country Indiana into the living room while my dad is watching sports on large flatscreen TV in comfort. She had tried using other things to sit laptop on and was uncomfortable for her and there's NOTHING LIKE THIS PRODUCT in retail big box stores! My mother uses a Bible PC Software and used to do that back in her office away from my dad's side until we got the wireless option figured out and she told me it is VERY comfy, holding laptop at perfect angle, no overheating of laptop, and utilitarian in that it can be used to eat on or flip the hard plastic surface over and you have a book/pen rest. I also like the fact you can unzip and wash this cover, which has small velcro compartments to hold pens, memory stick, etc. SO NOW, I will order one for myself since it passed the "mom test"! Great price, shipping, as always with OS--my favorite place to shop in safety of my home in this ever crazier world we live in!
