I bought this to replace another cutter of mine ( a Dahle ) that had dulled. This product lacks a stabilizer piece that the another had (this holds down whatever your cutting and prevents slippage). I also feel that although the box states that it cuts 15 sheets (this is not what was advertised; I bought this as an 18 sheet cutter) even 15 sheets of thin paper is a stretch. I will not spend the money to return it but I wouldn't purchase again. The cutters actual materials it's made of are good and it is heavy; it just doesn't suit my purpose- to cut paper well. I wish I could say better but I would suggest looking elsewhere.
