I've been spoiled by other items; this was purchased on a whim. The thin plastic spacer which sits at a rather awkward angle to hold it upright is weak, and will slip of you shift or attempt to move the laptop. Due to the holes, any attempt to use it flat is fairly awkward, and there just isn't enough space to also hold a mousepad, if you were so inclined.It works, but only if you don't move around. It does it's job, but it isn't very featureful; it's about as useful as a phonebook.

Purchased and love it! Keeps the heat off my legs. I would reccomend this. It fits perfect in my 14.1" laptop case. The Futura Laptop Desk is perfect for any size laptop you may have. It does not slide off. Sits very secure.

I was looking for something portable that would fit in my laptop case. i searched many a website for all the features I wanted in a laptop stand. It lets my laptop vent so that it does not slow down. I would advise anyone purchasing a laptop to also buy this stand. You will not regret it. The price is reasonable and the delivery was so fast. This is my second one that I have purchased. I want to give this one as a gift. I gave it 4 stars for features because there is only one feature I wish it would have. I wish it had a bar in front to sustain the laptop more securely so it does not slide forward. (not that it slides forward, but I have a different stand at work that has this feature and It feels very secure) However, the convenience of portability and price are what sold me. You just fold it up & put it in your laptop case, ready to go.

I do a fair amount of work on the couch and needed something to stop the heating of my legs-- this did it! I didn't even realize until after I purchased this that I also needed something to help my legs relax; I guess I was squeezing my legs together to balance my laptop and now I don't have to anymore (my back actually feels better too). This item is long enough so you don't have to balance or squeeze with your legs and I like the security of not having to worry my new macbook will hit the ground if I move the wrong way. The grips are more than adequate and it folds up nicely if you need to store it or take it with you. Great product!
